Visiting East Texas for me isn't finished until I hit a catfish restaurant and Catfish Cabin didn't disappoint. We stayed 30 minutes away in Woodville and made the drive to Jasper to this place on a recommendation from our hotel. There were 3 of us in the party and between us we had catfish, shrimp and stuffed crab. All were... More

We've been eating here every time we camp at Martin Dies Jr. State Park. Friends turned us on to the place and we've been eating there ever since. My first experience was with the "large" catfish. Turned out to be five large fillets. Nearly killed myself after eating at the salad bar. The food was excellent, the service friendly. This will... More

My husband and I were amazed at the quality of the catfish dinner. It was accompanied by an excellent salad bar, including pickled green tomatoes, a choice of fried or baked potato and superb hush puppies.

Best, I mean best Catfish around for miles! Easy access, great friendly staff and owners, good for family or church get togethers, business meetings, fast lunch. Eat roasted peanuts and throw hulls on the floor. Kid friendly. Menu on wall for fish, seafood, salad buffet style! Best salad bar I've ever eaten! Other items available for non fish eaters too.... I had the grilled catfish and shrimp. They have a salad bar and that was the best part of the meal. The shrimp were very small and catfish was kind of strong. The service was good but very overpriced for quality received. There is a restaurant with the same name in nearby Lumberton. They must not be owned by the... More

We go there every year when we go camping at Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend. We go in the spring and fall and look forward to it each and every year. It is simple and great, not fancy, but great roasted peanuts to snack on while waiting for your fresh hot awesome fried catfish and homemade hushpuppies..There is a simple... More

We had a group of 11 hungry trail riders. They a table ready for us in just a couple of minutes. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious. I found the salad bar just great. Very cold and very fresh. Did not have the blue cheese dressing I usually eat, but the Italian was fine. Ample portions on the... More

I chose the house specialty - catfish. The fillets were think, lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The only sides in this restaurant were a baked potato or French fries. Both were good. Others had the shrimp, which was very good and the steak fingers. The gravy is served on the side and according to those who had it -... More
