Upon deciding to eat at Kitts for lunch I half expected it to be a novelty. This is NOT a novelty. This is an amazing lunch and an amazing concept. The cornbread that each sandwich is made from is a very tasty almost sweet cornbread. Each sandwich we ordered was a fantastic culinary delight. They offer several different sandwiches as... More

Love the kornbread sandwiches (the Texan is my favorite).....but you must not leave without trying a piece of pie. The coconut buttermilk is the best. I also highly recommend the broccoli salad.

A cornbread sandwich is certainly not normal. But it is a wonderful and tasty option to the norm. They give you options on the types of cornbread, the meats and toppings. I love the Jalapeño bead with ham. Get the Option 3 with sandwich, chicken & dumplings and the Broccoli salad which is tremendous. Top it off with one of... More

Cornbread is the star here replacing other, inferior, varieties of bread in a number of delicious sandwiches. The Stewp was quite good as well. Friendly and quick service.

My fiancé and I come here every year for our anniversary and we tried this place out today! We will be coming back next time! We got the Redneck, the Texan and the chicken and dumplings and it was amazing!! Waitress was so sweet and amazing and she was the only one serving the entire place. We'll definitely be back!... I was impressed with this little kornbread shop. We stopped in for lunch, and I have to say that it far exceeded my expectations. The cornbread was so delicious. I will most certainly be going back!

Popped in for a late lunch. They were closing in fifteen minutes yet treated us as if they had all the time in the world. I had the refneck and oh my God what a treat! I had it on the jalapeno cornbread which is not nearly as spicy as you would think and just added a great flavor to... More

I was very happy to have gotten in the door just before they closed. This place is well worth leaving the main road, US 59, and driving in to the main street of Jefferson, TX. And after you have some good food here? Drive around the local streets and have a look at some of the fine old houses.
