The Hamburger Store is under new ownership. We have always enjoyed our meals there. The new sourdough buns are delicious! You can get several variations of the sourdough buns and different cheeses. The french fries are real potatoes - not frozen pre-processed fries. Onion rings are made from "scratch" - again not previously frozen.

The Hamburger Store, Jefferson, TX, most definitley knows how to treat the hungry diner to a delicious lunch or dinner featuring their special hamburgers and pies. On my most recent visit to the Hamburger Store I ordered their classic cheese burger with sour dough jalapeno bun accompanied by a side of some of the best onion rings I've ever eaten.... More

Great food, service and atmosphere! Always a must stop destination when we go to Jefferson! We have actually traveled 100 miles out of our way for the pie before!

Overpriced for the burgers which are on the dry side. Servers try to make up for the painfully slow kitchen, but there isn’t much they can do. They do have one saving grace in my opinion and that is their “mile high mereingue pie”. It is consistenly good which makes the Hamburger Store a serviceable spot for pie and coffee.

It is well known in Jefferson, and a must for a quick lunch. Staff is very friendly, and the patty melt was a good choice. We did skip the tempting dessert.

Service is a little slow but my burger was very good. I would eat here again. If you order the half pound burger you get a huge amount of french fries.

We were running around like chickens on a short leash during Pilgrimage weekend, and asked our friends to order us a couple of burgers to go. My first clue something was amiss was that were already seated on this busy weekend. Second clue was when I went to pick up the burgers and the place was almost empty. Even though... More

My daughter and I ate there and I loved the old stuff on the walls. Food was good and prices were too. Friendly people and fast service. I'll go there again. They said they have great pie but I was too full to try it. But I will next time.

We typically eat here once each trip to Jefferson. The burgers are big, tasty, and juicy and the buns are divine! You can't leave without trying a slice of pie. If you do, you should take one to go!
