We were looking forward to some real Texas BBQ; but, when we got there at 7:30, they had run out of BBQ except for chopped brisket. So, we ate brisket even though we wanted ribs or links. Oh well, we were hungry. The brisket was tasty and the sides were OK. We were disappointed that we didn't get what we... More

The barbeque at Lum's is very good. You order and pick up your meal at the counter and then eat at one of the six or so tables, or take your food home. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was excellent and the prices were low. We tried the ribs and the brisket - very good and the... More

My dad loved the ribs. I agree they were {very} good but not a 5 so I rate them a 4. I'd actually give them a 4.5 if I could. This is the first BBQ place I have been to that didn't have baked beans. I still ate it all and even had some desert. The only real complaint that... More

We recently moved to Arizona. Have not found decent BBQ, yet. Lum's is a must if you are traveling thru Junction, Tx. You can smell the BBQ down the street. They have pits on the side of the building. We opted for a 3 meat plate consisting of brisket, jalapeño sausage, and ribs. Comes with 2 sides. Everything was moist,... More

We stopped in on our way to El paso. We ordered the brisket sandwich and split it with a side of pasta salad. It was plenty of food. The people serving were super friendly. Bathrooms clean. Very fast. Better than fast food. Definitely worth the stop!

Stopped here for an evening meal, no problem parking, obviously not the rush that happens at lunch time. Lots of meat options, we had the pulled pork and the brisket, both very good bbq. Additional sauce available for self serve. Sides were good. Package liquor and beverage carry-out available.

The parking left something to be desired, but once you got inside, you're happy - very no-frills, but the BBQ was excellent! Go early to beat the locals to the parking spaces!

Brisket, sausage and barbecue sauce had a good flavor. Macaroni salad and coleslaw tasted store bought. Clean restrooms!

We stopped into Lum's on Saturday and split a pound of turkey with my family if 4. It was fantastic. Friendly staff, small town atmosphere AND they had strawberry Shiner (I can't find that anywhere)! We decided to go back on Sunday on our way out of town. The kids and I split a brisket plate. I'm so glad we... More

Stopped here on our way to Alpine. I really enjoyed the brisket and the 16oz coleslaw! My partner and I shared a two meat plate, which is enough for two people for lunch. Concluding: affordable prices, nice atmosphere and good customer service.

Thank Fleuriger

Located in the heart of the hill country, Lum's serves up vintage Texas smoked BBQ along with sinister sides and carefully prepared deserts. Our approach to barbecue is simple: lots of time and lots of wood. Our meat is dry rubbed with a select few spices and then slow cooked over mesquite wood. Lum's was co-founded in 1976 by father and son, Louis and Richard Lumbley. We strive to provide a comfortable and friendly dining experience executed with exquisite small town hospitality.
