My wife and I ate lunch here and it was just wonderful. I do not claim to be an expert but it has to be the best lamb meat I have had in a gyro and the homemade tzatziki was incredible. Not to mention we both got pecan baklavas, which were the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Cannot believe... More

Having been introduced to this style of food in a Lebanese community in Cedar Rapids, IA, my husband and I were thrilled to find LiteBite Mediterranean Cafe in Lubbock. The gyros (pronounced yee-ros) are the Kronos brand (one of the more popular commercial brands). Gyros may be served grilled (most often seen on a vertical spit) or steamed. Ours were... More

Visited Lite Bite Mediterrean Cafe on 50th street recently on a visit to Lubbock, Texas. For the most part, was pleasantly surprised. Authentic food in a cosy, Mom & Pop atmosphere. Among the group, we had the mezza sampler plate, lamb kabob, roast chicken and baklava. The mezza plat had falafel, baba ganouge, hummus, grape leave and tabbouli salad. The... More

Owner Sam and his family have been cooking and serving good-quality eastern Mediterranean food here for many years, and lots of Lubbock folks of diverse backgrounds have made it a favorite. Nice regional favorites, takeaway desserts, specialty grocery items.

Went here based on reviews of previous diners and in dire need of NOT MEAT in Lubbock. The family running the place is nice but the food quality was not up to my standards. Everything tasted old and greasy. The tabbouleh portion was small and the tomatoes were rancid. The falafel appeared to have been previously prepared and refried. The... More

I've been to Lite Bite many times and the gyros are consistently great! Lite Bite is a no frills, diner-style place with a lot of Mediterranean decoration (as would be expected). The owner is always at the counter to take your order. He's always friendly and appreciative that you stopped by. There are plenty of options and specials to try,... More

This is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock. The gyro is always our go to order along with grape leaves and baba ganoush. For a more traditional American sandwich try the Dr. Paxson. Service is always wonderful.

My boyfriend has been eating here when he visits Lubbock for over 10 years and always raves about it. He took me to late lunch today. Food was delicious, especially spinach pie. Service was attentive, welcoming, friendly, and quick. Highly recommend this cafe.

Thank Jill P
