I was happy with a business dinner that I had here. The service was good, food was fresh and well prepared.

The food was fine. My steak was rare. My Manhattan was fine. The service was fine except the hostess left the wine list standing in the middle of the table and it fell over knocking my ice water glass onto my lap. The waiter, manager and the owner came by with apologizes and an after-dinner cognac.

This is a great restaurant. Very high class, the outside may fool you, but the inside is beautifully decorated and quaint quiet place to enjoy your meal have a private conversation. This can be a great place for romantic dinner for two..

This was supposed to be an upscale steakhouse and maybe for Lubbock it is. The interior is dark....all done in red and dark wood. But the ambiance was nice. The menu was good, with a nice selection of steaks. Three of the steaks at our table were cook very nicely but the fourth, my ribeye was supposed to medium but... More

The Double Nickel has a very nice sophisticated steakhouse restaurant feel. But unfortunately the quality of good does not match your expectations from the feel of the restaurant. The steak is ok but for the price you pay you can find much better steak elsewhere.

I just returned from Lubbock and several of us ate at the Double Nickel Saturday evening. It's beautifully decorated, the staff is quite competent and friendly, and, most importantly, the food was delicious. I had the filet mignon and it practically melted in my mouth. It was amazing! One of the best, if not THE best, steaks I've ever eaten.... More

Upscale, Texas steak house with a rich, red, saloon atmosphere. Excellent steaks and seafood, and delicious sides like asparagus and scrumptious fried cheese! Impressive wine selection and fabulous cocktails. The wait staff is very efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Can't leave without a "doggy bag" - too much food, but too good to leave behind!

After a long day of traveling and work we visited the Double Nickel. The atmosphere was great, Eli the bartender is friendly and accommodating. We both ordered ribeye steaks which we done medium. My steak had some grizzle and was just OK. The sides were very tasty. All in all a good meal, but the steaks could have been better.
