We were at a conference and decide to visit downtown McKinney! What a pleasant surprise. We got to the Celt just in time for the Irish music, enjoyable and casual. Good entertainment with a nice cold draft. A good selection on tap. We'll be back next time we're in the area, a fun taste of Ireland

We decided to spend part of Saturday in old downtown McKinney visiting antique stores. For lunch, we tried the Celt Irish Pub. It was a great experience. Atmosphere is authentic with great choice of beers and ales on tap. We were really surprised at just how good it was. Service was exceptional.

Lunch on the square is always a treat and it's great to have pubs with more than a simple bar menu. Lots to choose from and consistent quality. Recommend both for lunch and a casual dinner.

The Celt Irish Pub is a nice respite from Tex-Mex and chicken fried steak! This pub-style eatery has outdoor seating which makes enjoying downtown McKinney even better. Sitting outside on a beautiful, Texas spring is hard to beat. Food was very reasonably priced. I had the Reuben sandwich which was outstanding. French fries were hot and crisp. I would have... More

As we walked the street of McKinney we came across this little spot. It had a menu that showed fish & chips and bangers & mash so of course we had to stop and try. We were not disappointed it was very good. the place is crowed with the tables trying to get as many in as possible but it... More

Tried the Celt Irish Pub yesterday. Was good. My wife have the hamburger. The meat was very tasty and was served on an onion bun. I have the fish and chips and they were great. Margarita was not good but I think the bartender was not trained. Sent them back. Redos were ok but would not order again.

Absolutely. As authentic as you can get in the states. Bartender served my husband's drink exactly like do in the UK. We didn't eat anything but the menu had the standard pub fair and more than a few patrons were eating a late lunch while we were there. We had a few drinks while watching a soccer match at the... A fairly typical (and I mean that in a good way) Irish pub. The food is good and again, pretty predictable - and that's just fine! Great selection of beers beyond the obvious ones - but I have to say they were out of several that I tried to order (from the board). Live music upstairs on certain days. A... More

This place is very popular. Tables are always full. It's definitely pub food, but good pub food if that's your thing. I like a healthier choice and I think their drinks are weak but they are t the only ones on the square that follows that formula!

Good morning Necia and thank you for the review and comments. Such a great shame that The Celt is not your kind of place.
