We only went initially for a coffee. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The real purpose of this review is to recommend Colonsay honey which is available at the pantry and village shop. It is delicious and you will never want to touch mass...More

A surprise to find this little coffee shop on Colonsay with such a large choice of cakes. Unfortunately there were no gluten free alternatives. All meals come with chips. Clean and welcoming. Friendly staff. Simple gifts and souvenirs also available.

The menu isn't extensive (chips with everything) but we were more than satisfied by the choices - the home-made soups were excellent and we'd recommend the Argyll scramble. If you've still got room for a sweet try the Colonsay honey ice-cream. The service was friendly...More

Colonsay is a terrific island, full of enterprise and with it's offering fully integrated. And its offer includes a cafe/restaurant that could easily compete with the best on the mainland. We're veggies so not attracted by seafood night but its attraction was not lost on...More

Home cooking, friendly staff and deservedly busy. They even supply home-baked bread loaves, and have an impressive range of confectionary. Also do alcoholic drinks.

We called here a few times for coffee and home baking. Got a very friendly and warm welcome. Close to ferry terminal so very handy before or after ferry journey. Very reasonable prices so quench that thirst after a drive round the island

I was hoping to book a table for the seafood evening on a Wednesday but The Pantry isn't large and it was full. Never mind. I had a really tasty and generous prawn Marie Rose baguette with side salad and once of the best ever...More

Lovely home made food and cakes. Best chocolate tiffin ever. Good for breakfast lunch and open some evenings for dinner. We enjoyed a fish night. Home made soups. Small and compact with tables close together but a highlight on the island.

If the Hotel is the "posh" option, the Pantry is the more basic choice. Sited up a little road from the quay, with a big car park, there is indoor seating for maybe 20 and the staff comprise Gavin cooking away & one other person...More

We stopped off at Scalasaig on our yacht whilst enroute from Liverpool to Mallaig. We walked up from the pier to the Pantry for breakfast and found the venue to be very welcoming with pleasant staff, great food and good value for money. A 'little...More
