Had Zizi Trattoria cater for my daughter's Confirmation. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. The tray sizes were decent, there was more than enough food with some leftovers to have during the week. Not only was the food delicious but it was good value for what we ordered, I think that for catered food they charge very reasonably (which is something hard to come by nowadays). Thank you to Bill and his staff, you did a great job and the food really was delicious!

Delicious Italian

We came as a family and finally tried this restaurant. We got bruschetta, salad, rigatoni pasta with meat, seafood pasta and grilled calamari/ shrimp and Margherita pizza. We loved the food, the ambiance and service by our wonderful server Rob and others. They are very attentive at this restaurant and the quality of the food is fabulous. It’s too bad we never came here before! It comes highly recommend and we can see why! Thank you ZiZi for a fabulous family dinner.

Never Disappointed

We have had many meals at this establishment and have always been happy with the food and service. My husband recently gave me a surprise birthday dinner with family and friends here and no one left disappointed. A nice cozy & friendly atmosphere. A fabulous staff! Thank you for always making our visit tasty and enjoyable!

Waiter was horrible

Dinner was average, steak special was paper thin, not sure how this could be considered a special, seafood risotto was great. Service was horrible, our server (older, tall man with a bit of an accent) did not pay any attention to our table to whole stay there, he was to busy with the regulars that came into the restaurant. Bartender was a delight, he was taking care of us during our dinner.

A pleasant time

Because one of our group of four preferred the covered and enclosed patio we sat there, although traffic noise was occasionally a significant problem. I began with the carpaccio, which was a low point of the evening. I was not happy with the quality of the meat, and it sat on a bed of lettuce (!) rather than arugula and was drenched in unwelcome balsamic vinegar. Of the other appetizers , the lemon shrimp was outstanding and the grilled squid was good. The steak special was pricey but tasty and enormous. The bronzino was pretty good The veal scallopini marsala was excellent, the limone scallopini not quite so good. We loved the two desserts we tried: coconut sorbet and the Cappuccino “truffle” (sic), which was really tartufo. The service was mostly good.

Excellent Evening

Had first visit recently, and was very impressed. Friendly, professional staff, in a smart-casual, comfy room. My osso buco with risotto side was delicious, and my wife had the perfectly tender veal piccata. Also, what an amazing dessert menu; a local favorite is the pistachio cheesecake. We'll be back again soon.

Good but not perfect

We really enjoyed the service & the meal was delicious with good sized portions. My only complaint was there were no gluten free pasta options which is surprising.

I love the grilled calamari! Definitely my favourite Italian restaurant in the GTA. The servers were great and the food was amazing. We were here for New Years and was not disappointed one bit.

Horrible food pizza seems like its made from a pita, pastas are covered and slathered in crappy sauce , service is incredibly terrible , grilled calamari was covered in crappy balsamic vinegar to cover the stench avoid avoid

We have served our community for over 24 years with a great reputation. It is baffling to see an individual would take the time to spread so much hate and profanities in one sentence. After reading some of your other reviews it is clear you are just an angry individual seeking attention. If you were truly at the restaurant you should of spoke up and shared your feelings with one of the staff or management instead of running home and hiding behind your keyboard spreading profanities.Tripadvisor should review their policies in regards to language used on their so called family friendly website. We encourage customers to give us their feed back, but this kind of dribble is utter rubbish.

I don’t know why this place is rated so well. The food was very disappointing: flat and generally unappetizing. The service also left much to be desired. There are so many other - better - Italian restaurants to choose from in the area.

Nice meal with family

We went with immediate family as we have never been here before but heard good things. When we got there, it wasn’t too busy so we were seated in the back where it was a bit more quite. We had a very friendly waiter take our drink order where we decided on a decent Cali red. We had the bruschetta appetizer which was nicely done, not too garlicky. I ordered their special which was a seafood gnocchi in a rose sauce. The other ordered veal scallopini , and margherita pizza. My seafood dish had generous amounts of seafood and the sauce was not overly heavy. The other dishes were equally good. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the new location.
