We visited for dinner at sunset. The view was beautiful. Perfect lighting for photography. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Tip: Visit here to enjoy the sunset over dessert, but plan an early dinner somewhere else. :)

Restaurant with quirky beach bar on a private strand. Restaurant' has indoor or terrace dining, the latter with spectacular views over Achilles Bay and Fort St. Catherine. Recommended.

We decided to splurge and eat dinner at the Beach House. Unless you have a scooter, you would have to hire a taxi from Kings Square, St George. The Bermuda Onion tart was a great choice for an appetizer. I had the Rockfish covered with...More

We spent an hour on a bus to get to this restaurant and were disappointed. The entire town of St. George was empty and all the stores were closed. The view was probably the only good thing about our long trek to get here. My...More

This place is the exception to the bad food in Bermuda. The wahoo sandwich was the best I have had on the island. It was flavored well and had a great sauce with it. The fries and Rum swizzle was great, too! Oh yea, and...More

A secluded cove on the islands of Bermuda is reportedly where one Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, spent some time hiding out from the Governor Eden of North Carolina around 1718. His ship the Queen Anne’s Revenge may have even anchored off Achilles’ Bay; the crew may have basked on the beach and fished and swam in crystal clear turquoise water. They may also have created a small hut on the shore to shelter from the sun but what stands there today has transformed into the Beach House at Blackbeard's. It serves some of the best food on the island with wine to match in a shabby chic restaurant with a good bar and a special view of the sunset.
