We got there about a half hour before closing.....don't wait that late if you want chicken salad! I had soup and salad - delicious. Two soup choices, several sandwiches and quiches. Loved the orange tea and scones served first. Plenty to see while waiting, if you have to wait for a table. Great gift shop.

I talked my poor husband into eating here on our trip through Texas. I had eaten BBQ for three days and needed to cleanse my palate. He was not over-joyed at the idea of a tea room, but he loves me and agreed. I was vindicated when he was served a big bowl of gumbo that was hearty and tasty.... More

Great quiches, salads, herbal teas, and sandwiches. Their orange spice tea is especially good. They also have a wonderful afternoon tea for children by special order. Check the hours before going.

We took a drive from Houston for a late lunch. Walked through the store to the cafe at the back. A quaint place about 12 tables. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The menu is good for a cafe. The scones are american scones (sweet) - very tasty and fresh. We asked for cream... More

When you walk thru the store and garden center you're pleasantly suprised at the restaurant. Super nice hostess, nice and bright atmosphere but the food isn't all that good. They offer several desserts but i think they all come from a box. Not worth it.

The food here is great, the service is great, and it is all very reasonable. We also love the nice quiet atmosphere--you can have a conversation without yelling. Sandwiches, desserts, and teas are all first quality. Those who call this place pretentious are well off the mark. We love our visits to Café M. Bloomers.

A very neat and clean tea room with a nice menu of salads and sandwiches. The start with a complimentary scone and cup of hot tea. Both are great. Their sandwiches are fresh and filling and presented nicely.Tea Room sounds sissy, but I'm a guy and I like it there. Take your lady friend for a good impression. Staff is... More

Good place to eat. Very relaxing. Not what you would call formal but much more than a casual place to eat. Varied menu of light lunch meals including sandwiches, quiche and wraps. A special plate lunch every day. Always serve a tea and fresh bread/scones for appetizer. Excellent desserts. Also, great nursery and gift shop to wander around in after... More
