We were in town for a visit and a friend had recommended going here. We've been to Farm-to-Table restaurants before but the food here was amazing. We had great service, the food was so flavorful that we had to force ourselves to stop eating it. My husband wanted to return the next night to try something else. If you are in the area, the food was amazing and well worth the trip. Cost was unbelievably low for what we received and we have eaten at several 5 Star and Fine Dining locations. Go and enjoy!

Went to brunch on Sunday and had a great meal, Choices of buffet are good and always being filled. Eggs to order are well prepared and the biscuit and gravy was very tasty. They have a chicken fried Pork that is excellant and lots of desert choices. A little pricey but cant miss if you have a great appetite.

Our group of 7 ladies go to Jack Allens for lunch occasionally and it is always a pleasure. This time most of us got salads; one was a special that was a trout salad and it was excellent. The fried chicken salad is another one that is very popular. The service was exceptional and always is. The servers are very well versed and able to make appropriate recommendations. I always look forward to eating at Jack Allen's as it is stress-free!

We ate here a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. It is always my first choice for good food, good service. I've never had anything that I wouldn't order again. On this trip I tried the Slow-Braised Beef Barbacoa Enchiladas. Oh, my goodness. This may be my new, favorite dish. Previously, my favorite dishes were the Grilled Ruby Trout, Baja-Style Fish Tacos, 5 Cheese Macaroni and Chicken, Chicken Fried Chicken Breast, Fat Jack Burger, and the Crunchy Catfish and Slaw. Even if you don't like pimento cheese, I dare you to try the sample of House-Made Pimento Cheese and extraordinary crackers the waiter brings when you are seated. I buy it by the jar to take home!

I told my son I'd take him and his wife to dinner anywhere they wanted to go. They chose this place. My son had salmon, she had chicken salad and I had a cheeseburger and fries. Almost.
They said their food was good. My burger was good, but I can't speak to the fries, as they didn't arrive until we were getting ready to leave. We had told our server twice, but to no avail. I never finished the burger because I was wanting to eat it with the fries, so I took it home and gave it to my dog. The bill was just under $160 for three and I didn't get my fries. Unforgivable. I won't ever go back. $160 and I gave my burger to my dog!

This was the first time we had eaten there and we were delighted. Both of us had the chicken stuffed with crab meat with a sauce over the chicken. It was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. Order this dinner. Also, I had the vegetable beef soup and after I let my wife sample it , it was hard to get my soup back. When I return to this area, I will eat here again and order the chicken and the soup.

Fantastic Recommend a try we were visiting from out of town, their Sunday brunch is buffet style, so we got to try lots of different dishes. They are a farm to table restaurant and do a fantastic job. Service was excellent as was the food

This was our first visit ever to this Restaurant. We are currently in transition and just stopped by while visiting looking for a house. We were seated promptly and everyone was so friendly and professional. There were some hiccups with my food that I ordered. I ordered the Ruby Trout Salad. They ran out of the trout . The manager hadn’t realized it but they went far above and beyond driving to their sister restaurant to get me a piece of fresh fish. I have a lot of food allergies and they did a fabulous job in accommodating to make sure I was safe. Our server was excellent and so was the managerial staff. We have been to a lot of restaurants and we have never had anyone go out of their way like these people. Customer Service is top notch. They took care of us well and we will surely be back when we are in the area. Definitely recommend. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Again the customer service is excellent. One of the big things I noticed is that they all work together and help each other out. Thank you so much again!

We stopped here twice in two weeks. The food was good, and when we asked to share, they split the entree in the kitchen without us asking. Very good desserts. Loved the pecan pie more than the coconut cream pie. Portions are large, so do consider sharing.

Great service, overall food. However the egg I asked for over medium with my chicken enchilada dish was somewhere between sunny side up and over easy. But the food was tasty never the less. Wish they offered something other than black beans.

We were visiting Round Rock from Colorado, and we chose to dine here because of reviews. We ate Guacamole as an appetizer, crispy salmon for me, and pork medallions for my husband. They were all delicious. I was just surprised how avocado was so naturally sweet because it was just so fresh. Everything we had was good to eat. I like beans, but I don't choose to eat in a restaurant. So it was great that Crispy salmon came with beans not only to add different ways of eating beans but bringing more fiber to my diet :) The only feedback is that the name "Crispy" salmon sounds as if it is deep fried or fried until too crispy. But it was nice and tender. I highly recommend making a reservation before going.

Stopped in for lunch during the week with our couple friends based on the reviews we found. We were promptly seated and our server wasn’t far behind. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their locally sourced menu. When asked for recommendations he was quick to offer his favorites. Some of the standouts from what we ordered were the black cherry margarita (a bit strong but very good), the crispy salmon which was by far my favorite, and the Baja tacos. There is a nice variety from burgers and tacos, to seafood and fried items like their signature fried pork chop. It was a great option for lunch and we will definitely be back.

Last night my husband and I dined the Round Rock location, our first time back since the pandemic began. I was dying for the trout plate with rice pilaf and a salad as this was my all time favorite dish. Disappointment! There was no crisp, green, fresh salad on the plate. There was some sauteed baby spinach between the rice and the trout. The presentation was not attractive. My sangria drink was good.

Over the years, Jack Allen's has become the go-to place for family get-togethers, date nights, entertaining out of town visitors, or a solo lunch or dinner. Food and drink is always on point and service a cut above. On a recent visit, my siblings and I gathered for a belated Christmas dinner. Our server, the entrees, and libations all hit or exceeded the mark. Such has been my experience at all JAK locations. Could they improve? Maybe tweak the menu a little more often. Otherwise, keep on keeping on.

We ate at Jack Allen’sKitchen the first time and were pleasantly surprised how good our experience was. This was my first time eating out after going Lectin free and I was concerned. Our waitress, Suzanne, knew exactly what we needed as she was familiar with it. I ended up getting a Caesar salad, no croutons, with grilled trout. It was really good. And a large portion. My husband had the queso with guacamole & a wedge salad. Again, an ample portion. The manager, Eric, came to our table to check on our order. He was very understanding and accommodating. We will definitely eat there again. Highly recommended!
