I love the baked oysters and hot wings. They have great prices but slow service at the bar. We had to wait about 20 minutes for another drink. There is usually 1 to 2 girls working the entire floor inside.

Our friends asked us to eat with them at this place and wow! The portions were big and prices were great! We had shrimp cocktail, Gilhooley's raw oysters, and the fried shrimp plate. It was all wonderful! Can't wait to go back!

I learned about Gilhooley's Raw Bar in San Leon, TX on Andrew Zimmern's show Bizarre Foods. He called it the ultimate seafood dive bar. He is 1000% correct. This place is fabulous for oysters. The baked oysters with Parmesan and garlic butter are worth the...More

This was a fun dinner experience. It seems to be a bar or tavern and restaurant. So not a place for kids. A friend recommended Gilhooley's said they specialize in Oysters, and that they serve the best burger of any place in the area. I...More

I really, really, truly like this place. Be forwarned, the language is uncensored and rough, no children permitted (it's a good thing), rustic and far away from typical attractions. They also, ONLY TAKE CASH. Buuut, the food is why you go! Specifically the seafood. My...More

It is a bar/tavern and also a rather rough looking one at that. Probably not the best place for kids.

$15. I got 15 oysters, what I would call medium to large in size.
