These guys went out of their way to insure my wife and I had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The called ahead to verify the reservation and a follow up after the dinner to get our feed back. Mussels for an appetizer and...More

So the reason I gave a 4 point and not 5 point rating, is when we arrived at 6 for our 6:30 dinner reservation, they were unable to seat us (with several tables open) and suggested we go to the bar. Which would have been...More

This was my second time in the restaurant – the time with some family members. Service is exquisitely executed. Food is delicious. Excellent, contemporary Decore. A restaurant that she would likely find in a high-end district in New York City or in Chicago – but...More

The quality of seafood did not match the price. My wife's seabass had a strange ammonia odor due to meat decomposition. The waiter seemed put off when we complained and made us feel like we were this issue...he did not believe us. The crab was...More

Business appreciation dinner, reserved the private room. Our waiter delivered an exceptional level of personalized service. Savory appetizers started off our feast, notable standouts were the hot/crunchy shrimp and beef filet bruschetta. The Prime ribeye was my dinner selection, prepared to perfection. Questions & Answers
My only question is, how on earth does this restaurant get such rave reviews (for the most part)? These 4-5 star reviewers must have never experienced a truly fine dining experience in a restaurant. Yes, the atmosphere was nice even though noisy and the server was very good but the food was generally mediocre at best, the drinks were weak (especially for $10) and the food prices were high. We had eaten at the Trulucks in Addison, TX twice. We went back the second time only because we thought we had been there the first time on an "off night" and it deserved another try. The second visit was still disappointing so we never went back. Our visit to the Grapevine, TX location was based on a recommendation and the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The restaurant in Addison closed and it was in the heart of restaurant row there. Perhaps that happened as results from just ok food and drinks combined with significant overpricing.
