Really good hidden gem off of 80. Great steaks and great food. Hoping they stick around but they may have to advertise some. MoNot many of the locals even now they're there.

If you're passing by on Highway 80, do that, pass by. Before ordering the biscuits and gravy, twice I asked if the biscuits were fresh, and twice the answer was "YES". Fresh at Bull's Pen means pre-packaged dinner rolls disguised as biscuits and heated in a microwave. The gravy was B-L-A-N-D. For a cafe with bacon, sausage, and ham on... More

Went for lunch ordered Cowboy Quesadillas, Texas Queso, and Salmon Fillet. Should have known better than ordering fish in a steak house. The Queso was good, the rest not so good. Will find somewhere else if there again.

Enough of the leftovers.......who wants a steak? 3 chicken fried steaks and 1 rib-eye were eaten and no one complained at all. The steak soup was very tasty also.

I still am unsure whether it was the seasoning or just poor cooking, but this food was not good at all. My husband ordered shrimp and steak with mashed potatoes and rice. I had filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and creamed corn. We also ordered an appetizer of onion rings, which were the best part of what we ordered. They... More

I've eaten breakfast here and never been disappointed. I went old school for this dinner and had a delicious hamburger steak covered with onions, mushrooms and gravy. Wonderful! I love the western theme with beautiful saddles and pictures of their prize winning bulls! Service was excellent and it was a great time to go as they weren't busy. Plenty of... More

Came for breakfast, our first time to eat here. Service was incredibly slow--it took at least ten minutes just to get a coffee, 20-25 minutes to get our food (there were only two of us, and our orders were not complicated). The food, however, was very good. Biscuits were amazing! Just don't come here if you are in a hurry.

My wife and I have stopped here numerous times. Easy access off and back onto Highway 80. Restaurant is exceptionally clean and eat staff is friendly. Good steaks, pork chops, chicken fried steak or chicken. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant can be a little loud as there is a lack of sound absorbing items in he dining area.

Great steaks, clean and family owned. It is neat to walk out back and see the Martinez PBR bucking bulls grazing and see the photos and write ups on the restaurant walls. The zucchini is wonderful, and the lunch pork chops are tender, flavorful and there is a large portion.
