Met some of my classmates from high school there along with other friends and thoroughly enjoyed everything! The wait staff is very friendly, too!

We stayed at the hotel next door and walked to Meg's because it was close. What a good choice for a great meal! Good sized portions and delicious.

After a UMHB football victory, we headed straight to Megg's. Seating was immediate. Our meal was delicious! I ordered the brown butter pecan pancakes with a side of bacon. Yep- breakfast on a Saturday afternoon was perfect. Others in our party of 10, ordered the amazing Brussels sprouts & crab dip---again delicious ( not what one would think of as... More

I had the deviled egg appetizer and the poutine. It was something I had never had but really enjoyed. It is not for the faint of heart as it is french fries covered with cheese and sausage gravy. Nice big portion and I could only finish half. The waitstaff was attentive but not over bearing.

Service is slow because food preparation takes longer. However, the wait is worth the quality...never had a bad meal!!! They also have a great bakery! It is a bit off the access road, but just look for CVS...the restaurant is west of CVS, just pull into CVS and nose around through the parking lot...or just Google.

En route from Austin to Dallas we decided to stop in Temple, Texas for lunch and stumbled across Meggs Cafe. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was alert and very helpful. I decided on the Pastrami Reuben with house-made sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese and Russian Dressing on Country Rye; I had them substitute Sour Dough bread for the Rye. Excellent... More

We stopped for lunch and what a delicious meal. We all enjoyed our meals. The food is all fresh and creatively prepared. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the beer recommendations, especially the one by Voltron.
