I had an early dinner here, so I ate in the bar area. The menu was fine, with a selection of American and Tex-Mex food. The service was prompt and efficient and the food was good.

A friend and I stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch. I was very pleasantly surprised at the beautiful decor, both inside and out. The patio area was gorgeous, the menu items were very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful wait person and the owner, Sam, came over to visit. It doesn't get any better than this in Tyler.

Nice open manly setting w/guns and animal heads on the wall. However, it's not so manly that women can't enjoy it. Excellent catfish, burgers, steaks ,salmon etc. Outdoor dining also available. Very nice place, you can tell that they built it to last and wasn't just thrown together.Locally owned and unique.

The decor in Sam's is about the best I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The owner was there and gave us a first person narrative of how he had designed and built the place. We met by my reporting to him a negative review I had found online. I brought it to his attention because I had a... More

Portion size is awesome, and the food is always great. We visit here regularly. There is never a wait. I always worry that people will figure this place out and get away from busy Broadway but so far, there is never a wait. It's great. Very nice place.

Went here for a dinner meeting. Was given a few choices for dinner. To start the salad was very plain and lacked any flavor. I chose the crusted salmon and it was very bland and lacked any flavor. The best part was the sweet tea and mashed potatoes. My friends chose the steak and could barely eat it any of... More

Have eaten here numerous times - the latest was this past weekend. Food is always good, such a variety and a great atmosphere. The service can tend to be slow, but the wait staff is always friendly.

This is a bar and grill unlike any other. Leaps and bounds better than the Outbacks, Chillis, and Applebees. I had quail stuffed avocados and venison tenderloin grilled medium. It was excellent and I will be returning to try the other dishes out.

The food was really good. No problem with the service (I must admit I go during off hours). Had a chance to meet the owner (I actually saw him on tv first talking about guns) and got the tour of the restaurant, kitchen, memorabilia. Really fun guy, very knowledgeable about memorabilia and a great people person. He really has a desire... More
