Visited this place for the first time for my hubby's birthday. It's like wurstfest all year round! Good beer and good German food. Yum!

Went there on a lark. Was pleasantly surprised. Usually don't go too far for dinner and this place was 30 miles from my house. But again, it was a lark. Really liked the German food. They have a menu as well as a German/American buffet. We did the buffet. The Schweinebtraten...pork loin roast was tasty and well done. Also, the... More

While admittedly better for groups than for solo travelers, Walburg is one of the local gems near to my heart. Both inside and outside eating (though the outside is only open during the summer I think), lots of beer, great food, fun people, live music on the weekends, more beer, overall fun.

What a great find in small town TX as we traveled back roads. If you are German or want to feel German this is your place. Food was delicious, atmosphere fantastic and music looks to be outstanding. We definitely need to go back and visit the biergarten and participate in some of the many activities. Looks like it would be... More

We had our "Farewell Dinner" at the Walburg Restaurant - this was the end of a week-long motorcycle riding trip for 7 couples, along with parents and kids. This place can accommodate crowds easily as they have long tables set up for family dining, as well as smaller tables. Some of us went through the buffet and others ordered from... More

We both had the Schwinelendchen and it was great! They started us off with fresh warm bread and butter and we got our meal quickly. The waiter took excellent care of us. Great German food.

After a lovely drive in the farm land you arrive at a small town called Walburg. The Walburg restaurant was family style dining, German food and polka music. Behind the restaurant is a beer garden plenty of covered picnic tables and an air conditioned video game hut for the kids.

The band was amazing! We liked the Brushy Brass band better than the house band! The red cabbage was very authentic. Asked for the sauce for the schnitzel, was told you only get that in the restaurant, not in the Biergarten . The Bienenstingen was the best I have ever had! The pretzel was a jumbo over cooked frozen pretzel.... More
