Family outing and lets just call it what it is "A nice place found a way to charge a fortune for good simple food". Yes spare ribs were great. Service was also great. Only problem I have is this place is trying too hard to be fine dining to cater to the elite crowd and it's not Southwest and it's... More

Attentive, friendly service (really appreciated the recommendation to share a starter). Don't miss the superlative elk, it is a delight!

Small restaurant downtown Park City but with a ton of great food! The spare ribs are mounded into something that looks like the Devil's Tower and is equally outstanding for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. The service was great. The table was a little tight but it was minimally noticeable. Highly recommended if you like Mexican food but... More

A concierge recommended Chimayo for a special evening dinner. She advised us to order our main course early on, as they cook everything from scratch and takes a long time to get served. Our waiter was terrific with his suggested drinks. We ordered our entrees first, and then our appetizers. We ordered the Tierra mar Fajitas and the antelope or... More

My group (5 college friends on their annual ski trip) spent five days in Park City/Deer Valley - being in charge of the restaurant selection, I saved Chimayo for our last night. Did not disappoint (and we hit just about all the top restaurants according to Yelp and OpenTable - see my other TA posts). We knew we were in... More

The restaurant was cozy and warm after a day of skiing. The food was more high end Mexican/Southwestern. Chips and Guacamole were not available. The meat/fish dishes were quite delicious and the tortilla soup was phenomenal. The margaritas were yummy as well.

After having boiling hot gravy poured down me,I was very disappointed in how they coped with this situation. The server was extremely apologetic he said he would clean the sweater with baking soda, this didn't really help me as i was sat through my meal in a stained and stinking t-shirt. At the end of the meal he brought the... More

We ate at Chimayo's after skiing in Park City. We had a reservation and was seated promptly and attended to by several staff filling our glasses with water and asking what we would like to drink. Their wine selection was good and reasonable. All of our meals were very good and the presentation was very pleasing. We never felt rushed... More

My husband and I visited here 2 years ago during our first trip to Park City and came back last week during our second trip with some friends. Everybody had a phenomenal meal! The tortilla soup is a MUST - it was so so delicious. Everybody in our group got the kobe beef and shrimp fajitas and really enjoyed them.... More

My boyfriend and I chose Chimayo for a special last dinner on our week-long ski trip to Park City. We were seated 30 minutes after our 7:30 pm Friday night reservation. 3 groups waiting for tables with us waited 30 minutes or more after their reservations as well. Once seated, I asked the server what their signature dish was and... More

Step through the door, and you’ll think you stepped across the border. Festive lighting, wrought iron detail, Southwestern throw pillows in each booth and an authentic Mexican tile floor create this fabulous illusion. Start with a signature Chimayo Margarita, a local’s favorite. Don’t miss the dipping sauce that’s served with the fresh baked bread. Favorites include the Crown Roast of Barbecue Spareribs with a chipotle and caramelized pineapple glaze served with buttermilk whipped potatoes and Dos Equis beer-battered onion rings. The Mexican Chocolate Fondue for four served with a tureen of melted espresso-cinnamon chocolate with dipping favorites of cinnamon sugar churros, peanut butter cookies, Mexican wedding cookies, banana, pineapple, and seasonal berries is sure to finish this delectable experience with a warm cozy feeling.
