Perfect lunch spot close to the convention center. Creative take on a taco-Indian fry bread replaces the tortilla. I had the BBQ pork. So yummy. The cabbage slaw added just the right amount of crunch. Very nice and efficient wait staff.

Journeyed with my husband on a work trip. After he gave a talk at BYU one of the faculty members recommended we meet at this spot for dinner. What an incredible surprise! While I doubt this was fully Navajo cuisine, it is Navajo-inspired. You are a lot of farm-fresh items on the menu, meat- and bread-heavy with items like "pork... More

Do not expect fast. But oh it is worth it. This is where I want to go all of the time. It is often busy, so go early and enjoy. But save room for the citrus chili creme brûlée. I have tried a lot of their offerings and have never been disappointed. I used to live in Santa Fe and... More

My wife and I went yesterday to the black sheep. I would like to clarify that we are foodies and are used to spending money on good food. This place is considered one of Provo's best places to eat. Keep in mind that really does't give it much credit. The staff was very friendly and sat us quickly. The decor... More

I ordered the Navajo taco and it was soggy and the beans had no flavor. My husband ordered the LUNCH special Fajitas with steak and 3 pieces of shrimp. It came with 3 corn tortillas. The waitress never said the cost was $25. In comparison to all the other lunch entrees ($9) that was beyond expensive. If you decide to... More

the Burgers and Fries are wonderful, everything you could ask for. it is busy, so pick your times and be prepared to kill some time before you get your table. it is rather expensive, as far as burgers go. but it is a good experience, try it once.

Holy smokes, what a good restaurant. In town for a BYU basketball game, we decided to try out The Black Sheep Cafe in downtown Provo because their online menu sounded uniquely delicious. We showed up early and had no problems getting a table. If it was a weekend, I would suggest reservations. Our waiter was on spot, cordial, informed us... More

We freaken LOVE this place!!! It's a tiny little restaurant in downtown Provo, right across the street from the beautiful city center LDS temple. It's super fun ambiance, because it's small, and has beautiful native american style art lining the walls, to compliment the native american inspired dishes that are served. If you're a man with an appetite, I only... More

We were in Provo for business and the Black Sheep Cafe was recommended to us. It certainly did not disappoint. The service was excellent right from the off. I had the hog jowl tacos and they were amazing. Flavours went very well together and portion size was just about right. Will be heading back if I'm in the area again.

I had been hearing about this restaurant from several sources. I knew that two sisters on a shoestring budget wanted to showcase their Native American heritage and love of local fresh food opened this unique place in 2012. I just wish I had known about it sooner. We drove from Sandy, Utah to Provo which is approximately 45 miles away.... More
