Went for lunch on a Tuesday. They were busy, but did a great job handling the rush. Our sandwich was ready by the time we got to the end of the counter. A large was enough for two people to share. Great bread and delicious...tender steak. We will definitely be back!!More
Visiting this great city from 1,000 miles away. We were driving around taking in some sights and saw your sign. We had eaten earlier in the day at an Italian restaurant and had a bad experience .. this place smelled amazing so we decided to...try it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and they were patient as first time orders were hummming and mmmmming. Food was ready as soon as we paid and was amazing. Thinking back at the board there was at least 20 different options and if I lived close I would try each one! Bring one of these to KY!!!! Great job guys!More
I tried finding the SLC store on Trip Advisor, but it doesn't seem to be listed. The food was so good, though, that I thought I'd just review the local chain. Being born in Philadelphia and now living abroad, I always love to try cheesesteak...places anywhere in the world, just to see how they stack up to the days I lived in Philly. Wow, DP did not disappoint! If you've got a craving for the real deal and you're far from home, give this place a try. Good food, even BIRCH BEER on tap and Springsteen on the stereo. Can't speak highly enough of this place for a quick delicious blast of Philly past!More
This was one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had since leaving Philly. The rolls are right. The toppings are right. You can even get birch beer at the soda machine.
My favorite is the cherry pepper but you can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches. The restaurant is in a fun location and imho better than the Lehi location.
Always tasty and a great place to eat. The rolls have a fantastic flavor and hold up well to the mounds of steak filling.
Visiting Utah and was told this spot was a must. The sandwich was delicious and it is served on very soft, fresh bread. Fast service and good prices with fresh ingredients. I ordered the garlic steak and loved it!
I'm from the Philly suburbs, so I like to think I know a good cheesesteak, and this was by far one of my favorites in SLC. The bread was authentic and loaded with meat and cheese. Even though the place was busy (we went during...the week at lunchtime) each of our orders came out lightning fast and HOT. Reasonable prices. I wanted to give this only 4/5 because it doesn't have the Philly vibe like Moochie's does, but the food really is solid, so it deserves 5/5.More
We decided to go for a philly cheese steak sandwich at DPs. Not busy and ordered without delay. Sandwich was good and hot. It’s your average run of the mill philly cheese steak joint. Nothing really jumped out screaming “OMG!!!” this sandwich is the best...in the valley. I do agree with others that more meat would be great. Worth a stop if ya get a hankering for a cheese steak sandwich.More
We normally catch this place on a Saturday afternoon following little league games. Everyone in the family enjoys it. Very good variety of cheesesteak sandwiches. Very flavorful and reasonably priced.
Our first day in SLS we chose here because of the good reviews but were disappointed. Everything on the menu sounded great but did not match the hype .
Seriously, Utah: why can't anyone in this state make decent cheesesteaks? I've been to the famous (Moochie's) and the local joints (now out of business), and I probably should've known better than to give yet another place a try. Now I can add DP to...the list of the nastiest Philly cheesesteaks in town. These are disgusting sandwiches and aren't worth your time. First off, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Dirty tables, sticky floors, trash overflowing. I had to use the restroom but I opened the door, thought "nope," and just washed my hands with the hand sanitizer that was in my bag. I ordered a philly cheesesteak with extra meat and no bread (I'm a low carber) and the kitchen gladly complied and put my beef on a piece of lettuce. I appreciated their willingness to work with me, but the food was just so very bad. The beef was of a poor quality as was the cheese, and there wasn't enough of it, especially for the far too expensive price I paid. It also tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all and was overly greasy. The portion size was laughable, it was literally like four bites of food! See my photo! This place was disappointing all around, and I left feeling ripped off and still hungry. Skip it.More
Cheesesteak is pretty much the only thing on the menu. But they make them good so it's ok. Quality meet with good bread you just need to choose which style you want.
My whole family was impressed with the flavor of these cheesesteak sandwiches. We tried a variety and shared a bite of each. Each one had a distinct flavor and it was difficult to choose a favorite. My wife has already asked to go back. And...we will soon.More
