This is not Taco Bell or any other chain. It is a one-off Mexican restaurant with a menu unique to this location. The food is cooked upon order, so it takes a while. If you visited a Mexican family for dinner, this is what they would cook. Just as one family had different ways of doing things, this restaurant is... More

I grew up in Colorado and moved out east and am always disappointed with the Mexican food. We recently did a cross country road trip and stopped here after our visit to dinosaur national monument. This place has epic tacos. The tortilla is just delicious - home made and a crisped up on the griddle. We had the carnitas, asada... More

Super friendly staff. Referred here by locals. The cashier gave us a recommendation and it did not dissappoint.

I ordered two tacos with chicken and one burrito with pork. The tacos were done traditionally but did not have too much taste. The burrito was bad because the pork was too salty. When the clerk took my order, he asked me twice if I wanted anything else. When I picked up my order, he asked me again. I answered... More

I am obsessed with this place and it's worth every penny! Definitely a tad pricier than I normally pay but it's legit Mexican food. Seriously delicious! I always get the steak tacos. YUM.

The food here is OK, not great but OK. Go for takeout as the dining setting is not that great. Try for the burritos, they are big so you can share.

Tacos El Gordo was written up in a local Salt Lake City magazine so we had to stop in for lunch on our way to Colorado. As other viewers have mentioned, the restaurant is in an old converted gas station on Main Street. Simple and very clean. As a side, it doubles as a small Mexican store with authentic products... Stopped in for a few tacos before a quick mtb ride on the local trails. Followed the owners recommendations as to what to get, and it was quite good. Good enough to stop on my way out of town that evening and get a smothered pork burrito. That was very tasty. And they have a selection of market items on... More

This place looks like it used to be a gas station so you know the product is gonna be unpretentious. The tacos were totalamente authentico and really really tasty. I think $2 each is a decent price for lots of meat n fresh condiment yumminess. Tho not on the menu they do have tamales which were perfect, seems like you... More
