We stopped by here on our way thru Bennington a few nites ago. It reminded me much of the old ice cream stands I grew up with .. only with more choices. It was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient... There were several picnic tables scattered around the building... so you could sit and enjoy your ice cream. The... More

I moved away from the area 40 years ago, back visiting - stopped at one of the landmarks Tastee Freez - cute as ever - staff friendly - food was great - I had the Fish Fry with onion rings enough for two. Living here years ago it was a weekly tradition to stop for ice cream. Locals don't know... More

My favorite place in town for anow ice cream. They have soft serve, frozen yogurt, and hard ice cream options. I never order food here but the have lots of fried food choices as well as burgers.

Well, I guess I am shorter than I thought! We went here for a sundae and it was about the size you would make for a toddler, a 1-year-old baby, in fact. It tasted ok but I couldn't get over how small and skimpy it was. Should have refused it asked for my money back. I didn't.........but we will never... More

We use to go many times a week when it was open. Sadly though it has become very low quality. If your in town during the ipen season I'd strongly suggest you pop over to Billy T's Dairy Bar over on Northside drive. Better food and prices.

I never miss out eating at Tastee Freez when I return "home" for a visit in the summer. Everything I've ordered over the last 5 decades has been delicious. Their french fries are especially crisp - just the way I like them!!! You can get burgers, hot dogs, chicken, fish, you name it, all cooked with the best taste ever.... More

Seriously, you know what you're getting when you stop here; it's no five-star dining experience. But if you need a really good grilled hot dog and a big basket of crispy fries, well, this is your place. Enough said.

First off, the menu options are pitiful. You can either get watered down ice cream sundaes (approximately 4 to choose from). Or, you can opt for the watered down ice cream scoops on a soggy cone. The woman taking my order had the personality of a lawn gnome, (well I wouldn't give her that much credit, lawn gnomes actually smile).... More

There is always a line waiting for this place. We took our grandchildren there for ice cream after school. They loved it. We will do it again.
