We decided to stop here on our drive to Vermont. So glad we did because we really enjoyed it. Great staff, delicious food and a beautiful view. The kids loved the Vermont/New Hampshire state lines that ran right through the restaurant! We arrived right when...More

For our second trip to Whetstone Station, my nomination to be Amtrak’s unofficial waiting room, my wife and I took our son and his wife for their first experience. These sophisticated Boston area residents were impressed. We arrived on a Sunday just before noon, when...More

Went in for a nice dinner and had an overall pleasant experience. The wings were very good. I was surprised to see Hill Farmstead on Draft, which was delicious. The slaw seemed several days old and lacked both that "acidic bite" and flavor. My date...More

Great food, and good brews on the river. Arrived near nooon on a Sunday in the winter. Excellent burgers and kids menus to boot. The beers were respectable.

A charming place best enjoyed from the roof top. The atmosphere here is laid back and comfortable. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the food is terrific! Roof top is open Spring-Fall with music, fire pit, tons of seating and fun.

We stopped at Whetstone Station for lunch on our way from Connecticut to Stowe. What a fabulous find! I had the salad with chicken with blackened brine, which was one of the most tasty spicy chichen salads I have ever had! The presentation was fun...More

Unic menu with a great taste. Must go! My wife and I stopped on our way to Killington for late lunch/dinner. You must try the "Not your Mama's Meetlof" - was great!

Considering the restaurant’s name, value, and proximity to Brattleboro’s Amtrak Station, the Whetstone Station is an alternative and super upgrade to the station’s spartan, uninspiring waiting room across the street. My wife, daughter, and I arrived on a Friday afternoon about 2 pm between the...More

Very easy! Just get off exit 1, turn right and continue straight until you reach the traffic light downtown (about 2 miles). Whetstone is right on the water, at the bridge to NH. There’s a parking lot on either side of the... More

While Whetstone does not take advance reservations, they do offer “call ahead seating” and / or you can get on any wait list directly through the Yelp app as well.

Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery combines a large casual restaurant and open air rooftop bier garten, with a small experimental nano-brewery, all located right on the Connecticut River in Vermont. We offer an "inspired pub fare" style menu, with everything from small bites for a few bucks to full entrees. Along with one, always changing unique craft beer of their own they offer dozens of guest craft beers on draft and specialty drinks, all in an amazing waterfront location. The unique round building has been restored into a beautiful fire-lit space with a contemporary and industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor dining, perched above the river, alongside a steel bridge and nestled between the green mountains make the amazing location a "don't miss" on any visit through Vermont.
