We ate at this pub before a graduation ceremony the next day. The place was busy, but did not look like it was too much. The wait was not long, but once we were seated, the wait was even longer. The drinks were delivered timely, and the main courses not too terrible - but the refills and waiting for the... More

Friendly server. Good food. Not a beer drinker, so can't speak to that. Not seated at a great table, so didn't see much.

This place had a warm feel to it with friendly staff. The food was delicious...complete comfort food. I had the poutine and it was incredible. Large beer selection!

Came here primarily for food, as I had heard that the beer was okay but not the best in the city. I definitely agree with that. The beer was good, and this place has been brewing beer for ages, but it wasn't my favorite local beer that we had. However, the service was great (our bartender was very friendly) and... More

Went on recommendation from Hilton to check it out. Beer was very good, staff was excellent and the food very good. Had a very nice time while there.

There was a great selection of beer so I got a flight of samples. Was not disappointed there. Staff was okay but didn't seem too attentive and not highly friendly. Food was good but not worthy of a 4th star. If I traveled here again I would probably try another pub since there are so many to choose from.

My husband and I had a delicious blackbean burger and fries, it is the best in Burlington. They have more vegetarian and vegan options . Even the fries are vegan.

This is supposedly the place that started the microbrew craze in the late 80s and is definitely worth stopping in. They have some of the most reasonably priced food in the city and a vast range of beers, available as tasters. They do some great experimental brews that are worth trying. Busy place for a reason.

Truth be told, the beer was good and the view on the square was nice. The girl who welcomed and seated us was nice too. But unfortunately we ended up with an impatient waiter, a very impatient waiter, actually borderline rude, who made us want to leave the place as quickly as possible. The only fun part was than when... More

If you are looking for English pub food, this is a close approximation. Traditional offerings in a dark, noisy, busy environment. They serve a broad selection of beers and ales, many of them local.
