Waiter did not care that we were there. He only had a few tables to wait on, but that was too much for him. He came up to us and said, "Thoughts?" I wasn't exactly sure how to respond...I was thinking about going somewhere else, but I was staying at Hotel Vermont and wanted to eat somewhere close.

Staff accommodated nine of us, on short notice, just as the kitchen was about to close. We were not rushed or asked to select from a limited menu. One guest asked for a crantinni and upon arrival she didn't like. Server without question replaced with a new crantinni which unfortunately was not to the liking of our guest. Again our... More

Ordered breakfast through room service. Delicious! Im pretty sure my husband liked their biscuits and gravy better than mine, but he wouldn't admit it. Lol. Best scrambled eggs i have ever had.

Friends dined last evening in Hotel Vermont's Juniper Lounge. I ordered their pulled pork sandwich, with local pork cooked in cider vinegar. The sandwich is nicely stacked up with pickled red onion, a fried egg and thick bacon. Served with remarkably good fries, the meal was good in it's entirety! Juniper is a beer lovers heaven, with almost a dozen... More

My husband and I took our son out to brunch on a Sunday for his 24th birthday. We had quite a wait (about 35 minutes) since they don't take reservations for less than five people. We ordered two breakfast burritos and oatmeal. The oatmeal was delicious, and the burritos were good--not great. Our waitress's service was mediocre. She didn't come... More

Had what was probably the best brunch of my life here on Sunday. Had the eggs benedict which were out of this world. Best I've ever had. And the bartender Danny was super chill and provided just the right amount of color commentary. Fun, talented bartender, insanely good food.

Highly rated online, decided to give it a try as I do with most 'high rated' places in the downtown area as it is extremely hard to find a bad place to eat in this lovely town. The atmosphere was desirable with much of the noise staying in the bar area which was what my boyfriend and I were hoping... More

My husband and I had a lovely breakfast by the fireplace in the lobby next to the Juniper Restaurant this morning. Our dog was able to join us as we sat down by the fireplace, not in the restaurant. The coffee was good and my husband enjoyed his eggs and bacon. I opted for the blueberry pancakes and would have... More

We really enjoyed our first dinner at Juniper on a recent Friday night. The menu had enough variety to satisfy our very different preferences. This would be a good place for friends: it was a little noisy, and the open floor plan doesn't lend itself well to an intimate dinner for two. But all in all a nice evening out.

Delicious hors d'oeuvres for new years, live music, space for some low key sitting by the big fireplace, lots of fun!

Description
Juniper is Hotel Vermont's local, ingredient-driven cocktail bar. Created by Executive Chef Doug Paine, Juniper's menu is a celebration of individual and community effort, of small local producers growing and raising food, brewing beer, distilling spirits, and making wine. Check out the local live music scene and the custom cocktails made with Vermont spirits, as well as the outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Champlain with a cozy working fire pit.
