I have been to Martone's many many times during past years. Every time I go inside I am very comfortable and I am inside a true Vermont tradition, an old style with an updated feel. The food is very fresh and always enjoyable. Martone's is an anchor in the Essex Junction town block. I certainly hope it never changes as... More

Lots of sandwich choices and other offerings including baked goods. Old downtown market -- great atmosphere. Fast service 7 good food.

We had heard Martone's is the place to go for lunch when in downtown Essex Junction. So we ordered wraps "to go" for a picnic. Great selection, and the portion sizes are HUGE. If you order a whole, then plan on eating half, and save the other half for later. Probably the best option economically, because you will pay more... More

We stopped here to get sandwiches and wraps for a picnic lunch. I got a turkey and cheddar wrap on a sun dried tomato wrap that was probably the best wrap I've ever eaten. Highly recommend Martone's for any kind of sandwich!

Martone's makes the best sandwiches I've had in the Burlington area in Vermont. Lots of great sandwich combinations and really fresh veggies, meats and cheese. The sandwiches really are huge... You're better off buying a full (for a dollar or two extra) and saving half for a second meal. The only downside is that it's pretty pricey. For a drink... More

After having the Made-to-Order sandwiches at Martone's, I am confident that you will not want to go anywhere else. Although they may be a bit on the pricey side, the amount of meat given is enough for two meals, unless you're really, really hungry.

The food is always great along with friendly service! It's a little pricey for a sandwich shop, but I'll be back!

We stopped in at Martone's for the first time today. The place was very busy. The list of sandwiches is almost intimidating. I ordered two sandwiches and a bottle of diet Coke and the tab was $27.09! I had the Italian: Cappicola, salami and mortadella. My wife had the BLT. Both sandwiches were huge. They were good but way too... More

Food is fresh and delicious and serving size is huge! The soups are really delicious. They make all sandwiches to order. We typically go after one of the kids games or school events.

Great deli- friendly- service not the quickest but worth ANY wait. Expensive but worth it. Would not be able to eat there every day.
