What a perfect location for our "girls" getaway! The newly remodeled inn is gorgeous! Several local artist are featured throughout. Every room is unique and beautifully done. And the food... amazing!!! The hosts could not have been more accommodating. They even seemed to anticipate any need we might have had before we even asked! The location is great and the lake is crystal clear and gorgeous. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful New England Inn!

Excellent place with friendly service by owners Mitch and Joel. Mitch prepares superb breakfast that varies daily. Very relaxed and homelike atmosphere located within an easy travel to sites you would like to see in Vermont.

This is the best inn we’ve ever stayed at. We had a family room upstairs — super comfy beds, gorgeous tub and tile, fabulous game room, and the most amazing breakfasts. We wish we could have stayed for longer. The hosts are really lovely. The state beach is as a great place to swim and lay on the sand and read. We took the kayaks and canoe out - loved that the inn backs up on the lake. It was so idyllic - wish we could have stayed longer.

Delicious choice of either sweet or savory breakfasts prepared and presented perfectly. They were hearty enough to keep us going through a day of skiing and we looked forward to the next morning's choices.

Tina and Bruce, friends of ours, sold the inn very recently and the new owners apparently do not intend to reopen it. Great loss to the community. They ran it with love and caring for over two decades. Thoroughly deserve to be free of this demanding occupation.

We were not impressed. The owner was rude the second we walked in questioning us as to where we parked the car (seems another car out front was not parked in a legitimate parking space). The inn decor is very old fashioned and it claims to be romantic but it was not. The gas fireplace didn’t work and he couldn’t fix it. The lighting in the dining room was only the ceiling lights (made me feel I was at my grandmothers house in the 60’s!!!). The menu for dinner is whatever she was making. The banter back and forth between the inn keepers got old fast (it was their shtick - their comedy routine and they needed to be the stars of the show). Sorry.

We had several wonderful meals at the Inn. The innkeepers, Bruce and Tina serve as the chef and waiter. Bruce is very entertaining. There are usually several choices for dinner each evening. During our stay the choices ranges from chicken dishes, salmon, pork loin and quail. All meals included an appetizer, salad and dessert. The wine list has a wide variety of choices. We would definitely come back.

I ate breakfast and dinner at the Inn at Water's Edge during my four-night stay there. Every meal was homemade by Tina, the co-owner. Her dishes are very creative in terms of flavor and ingredients, and beautifully presented. Breakfasts included homemade morning glory muffins, fresh fruit, french toast, quiche -- every single thing was delicious. Dinners were equally yummy! The four-course meals included flavorful soups, super-tasty and creative salads that combined different flavors and ingredients really well and were well proportioned. Entrees and side dishes, again, were very creatively done -- salmon, snapper, chicken, prime rib -- all done to perfection. And the desserts were outstanding! The Bananas Foster cheesecake was amazing -- I am still thinking about it! My daughter is gluten-free and the gluten-free brownie was awesome (you would never know it was gluten-free). Overall, I can't say enough about how delicious the food was, and it was all served by Bruce, the Inn's co-owner and Tina's husband. They make a great team and make their guests feel very welcome and unhurried. Throughout our stay, they served delicious gluten-free options to my daughter and finicky-friendly versions of the dishes to accommodate my young son. I highly recommend the Inn at Water's Edge!

Inn at Water's Edge is an inn. I have never stayed in a room there but it has become one of our very favorite places for dinner. You need to make a reservation, then call them the day prior to your reservation and they will give you three (very good) choices for dinner (maybe salmon, steak and chicken for example). The bar opens at 6:00 and dinner is at 7:00. Great service and tasty food.

Every night is a 4-course meal. I don't know how they do it all. Pumpkin tomato soup, home made asiago-maple bread, nice salads, veal chops, fish, Italian specials on Thursday nights, delicious desserts, a reasonably priced wine list. Call a day in advance to make reservations and let them know your dinner choices. She prepares dinners individually for each guest.

We thoroughly enjoyed the inn, atmosphere and most gracious hosts! Felt like we were part of the family! They really do include everyone and the food was never dissapointing! We had a different breakfast each morning and dinners were cooked to pefection! Most definitly will be returning to this lovely inn and referring friends (even non-skiers). So close to Okemo! Midweek ski package is great!

This was a beautiful, authentic colonial Inn, with great food. Tina and Bruce are so nice. We didn’t show up for bar time an hour prior to dinner because we weren’t told it was part of the experience. So if you are planning to go for dinner, make sure you DO GO an hr earlier to the BAR. Next time we go to Ludlow, we will stay there. The rooms are beautiful and you really get the feel of that time. THANK YOU.
