Chef Mei is good Chinese food (if Americanized). I really appreciate all the precautions they take with pandemic food take out. I had both the chicken amazing and the almond chicken. I preferred the almond chicken of the two, but order it spicy.

As of Monday, March 16, 2020, the telephone message at Chef Mei's is that they "are closed for the season." Further indications in the message is to watch for notifications as to when they will reopen.

We always do take out and the food has been good. I thought there could be more shrimp in the shrimp dishes but I really like the pork dishes

The food was good, but they shorted us a meal on our first order that we considered an oversight. My wife picked an order two weeks later that was almost $200.
She did not check the bags upon pick up. When she got home, I was short a combination meal and an appetizer. I called and got voice mail. I left a message to ask if they had another bag at the restaurant. No response. Even though bags are sealed, confirm your purchase prior to departure..

Every neighborhood in NYC has a go to Chinese take out place that provides consistent solid food, not fancy, but good. This place falls right into that category. My wife and I, and our 2 girls loved the food, and I enjoyed talking to nice fellow that runs the place. Excellent wonton soup and moo shu.

I've been to many chinese restaurants in this country (as well as overseas). Chef Mei lacks the sense of flavor and character found in most chinese foods. If you just want a change of pace meal, it will do. If you're seeking quality cuisine, you'd be better off driving to Bellows Falls.

If you are expecting authentic Chinese food like you would find in China or possibly New York City, it is not. If you are expecting good American Chinses food, they have it. Wife and I were passing thru Ludlow on a Sunday afternoon drive and stopped in. Wife had Orange Chicken and I had Chicken with cashew nuts. Both excellent and VERY generous portions. The crab ragoons and egg rolls were also good. Food was served in about 15 minutes and the waitress was pleasant. Total was $26 for the two meals and crab ragoons. Not bad and the generous portions allowed for a lot of take home for leftovers this week.

Would not feed this too my dog...#Gross. Ribs taste rare no sauce on them and sesame chicken was like the fat and under cooked Do not eat here ...

We have been pleased with every dish. The spicy is not very spicy, but still good. Thank goodness this place exists, nothing much else for take out in the area

Chef Mei has great Chinese food and a huge menu selection. I not only get dinner there about 2 times per month it is great to get appetizers for a party. Food always ready on time

Contemptible. A Friend picked up a $55.00 dinner, tonight. I called to ask why they did not give us the brown rice, instead, giving us white rice. His, the Managers, Response? "Call the F@@ng Cops if you don't like it. Don't come back". (802) 228-4355.

Just having an average Chinese restaurant in a town the size of Ludlow (circa 1,700 people) is wonderful to me. At least once a month I love Chinese food, especially pork lo mein, wings, and fried noodles. As an eat-in restaurant, Chef Mei has about or 4 booths plus a table that seats 8. Frankly, I like my Chinese food as take-out. The food is what you expect from a Chinese restaurant not located in a large metropolitan area-average. But it's just nice to have it available.

This place was small and the food overpriced. Kind of taking advantage of tourists for sure. Two lunchtime small meals was over 20 dollars (water to drink for both) and seated so close to other patrons it was difficult to have a private conversation.
