We originally overlooked this restaurant because the pamphlet from our hotel indicated it was already closed for the day, but it turned out still to be open after all. We were so glad that it was! The lady who ran the place was very friendly and even let me sample a couple of dishes which were available for the day! They tasted so good that I ultimately got them both! The menu seems to change daily, which means that the food is both fresh and innovative. She employs a wide variety of flavors in her cooking. The exotic selection of sparkling juices she has available in her refrigeration case is just the cherry on top. The prices seemed pretty fair, too. All in all, as long as you don't mind take out, this restaurant knocks it right out of the park. The meal we had here was the best meal my family has ever had in the area!

We were having trouble finding a restaurant open or with availability on a Tuesday when I found The Cookster. The food was top notch! Even though we called at almost closing time, the owner had our items ready and provided everything we needed for a restaurant quality meal to go. Highly recommend.

While staying at an Okemo Mountain studio condo the local dining options seemed limited to typical ski resort burgers and pizza. We wanted something different and selected Cookster based on reviews. In a word: Wow. Better than dine in and in a league of its own for take and bake.
As a ready to heat meal, we could pace our food to match our dining time. By reheating we could have salad followed by a hot main. The timing allowed us to take our time and enjoy the flavors fully.
Beyond the ability to time our meal, the quality was exceptional. So good we went back the next day. Not only were the flavors right on point, but the quantities were perfect for two to share.
One note, we had the fried macaroni. The combination of crunchy exterior with soft cheesy inside was so delightful that without even thinking I started giggling. One bite from my wife and she also smiled at the incongruity of it all.

We were staying In Ludlow for a week, and we loved the food here so much we ordered to go dinners 4 out of the 6 nights we were here. The owner was friendly and professional, and the flavors of the food she prepares make each meal the best part of the day. She has a great menu that can be viewed on Facebook daily. I asked her about an old friend of our family, and it made me happy that she knew him.

Love it. We ordered multiple times a week for a complete home cooked meal. Every day there is a new menu and food for all tastes. Portions sizes are good. Easy to pick up and have a nice meal at home, or on the picnic table outside the shop.

Had the Cod cakes and a great salad. The Cod cakes were rich and a total hit with the aioli. The people are nice... and they mean it.
Move over Crab cakes.

The menu is posted on Facebook and updated daily. It’s takeout only and the food is cold but ready for heating up. Excellent.

Cookster is one of those places where you purchase parts of a meal - or a full meal depending on you order items. It offers a daily meal via facebook which details its specific menu items for the day. The menu is eclectic and varied but usually cantains something that will appeal to most palates. We tried the lemon chicken and tri-tip steak as our entree with a salad. The food was excellent - only problem, you have to heat it up. But that no big deal - especially in view of the quality of Cookster's offerrings. It may not satisfied the kids in your family but I sure all the adults will be more than pleased.

My wife and I needed a place to eat that could accommodate our two Golden Retrievers with outdoor seating. We found that combination at this restaurant. The owner had worked in the restaurant business for decades. She never went to culinary school, but you would never know it. Every dish was outstanding and special. We both had the cod cakes and two vegetable dishes. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and we ate outside at a table under an umbrella.

I found out about the Cookster by chance. The usual places I eat at whenever I go to Ludlow were closed, so I started to look around and came across The Cookster (which is named, I think, after the owner's dog). I didn't want a take-out restaurant, but luckily there are a few table outside, and the weather was good.
One selects from the different dishes and pays by weight for each item. Everything looked so good that I tried several different dishes. They were fabulous...the kind I have eaten in the Culinary Institute Of America for example.
I asked why they don't advertise and was told they don't need to because of the loyal local customers. After eating the food, I can certainly see why that is true. When I return to Ludlow, the Cookster is one of the places I will go to.

All the food was delicious, even the type of food that I don't like usually. The Mac'n Cheese Ball were also delicious.

If you don't have time or the desire to cook this is the place to go. They have wonderful main courses, salads, desserts. My favorite is the lemon chicken - just take it home warm it up and you are ready to have an incredible meal.

Hidden takeout! Can’t believe I am just finding out about The Cookster now. It’s not always easy to find availability for dinner and sometimes we just don’t want to go out to eat after a day of skiing or a day of driving to Ludlow. Finally decent, upscale take out and very quick (hard to wait 1.5 hrs. for pizza). Our soup, two salads and entree were delicious and fairly priced-it was a lot of food. Would have spent double at a restaurant. Highly recommend when you feel like eating upscale, tasty, healthy and unique food at home without cooking it yourself!

The daily farm to table menu changes daily - and hits every note that you can imagine! Some items, such as the Crispy Lemon Chicken, are frequent, but for a REASON. This food is phenomenal! The menu is posted daily on Facebook so you can check out options before making the stop/trip - but... you will ALWAYS finds something that you will enjoy. Don't miss this spot if in a rush, set up for a picnic, or just not cook and bring home to serve these delicious options... lie to your guests and say you made it - they will be taking you out for dinner the next time :-).
