We dined here one evening- outdoor dining due to COVID. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was good - pricey for the selection but understand this virus affects businesses differently. Outside tables were clean and well spaced.

Our innkeeper strongly recommended the Hostel for dinner. We were eating early, so we walked over and put our names down (no reservations unless 5+ parties). Because we were willing to eat as 2 at the bar we were seated in about 20 minutes. It was worth the wait. The cocktails were creative and well-crafted and the food was innovative and well-executed. If I have a criticism, it’s that we ordered one too many dishes, but that’s because we couldn’t decide and the portions are generous.

I visited here two times in two months - both experiences were divine! The second one, we did one of the private dining rooms which was a private area on the second floor of the hotel where we had our own bathroom as well. It was a special treat! You definitely need a reservation to come here as walk ins feel almost impossible. So make sure you come with a table as it's a bit off the beaten path and not sure what else you might be able to find as an alt in the area.
Now the food. HOLY DELICIOUS. Our first visit, we literally told our server to give us a surprise tasting and pick everything that we couldn't leave without trying. She did an phenomenal job taking us on a journey across the fruits of their menu. Hands down, the roasted chicken may be ONE OF THE BEST chicken dishes I've ever had at a restaurant before. It was sensationally good! And all the root vegetables that accompany it work harmoniously to elevate the dish.
Cacio e pepe cauliflower was a flavor explosion. The mussels with the mustard sauce was unique combination and standout. Those shrimp and grits are a home run. Salmon cooked to perfection.
I mean you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. You will fall in love one plate to the next.
Oh, and the cocktails have so many fan favorites. The Good Ole Boy is a riff on an old fashioned and wow. So damn good.
You must go!

We went there for dinner last night. Our server had an attitude right from minute one. I'm not one to easily criticize here but this got to me. We wanted to order appetizers first as my son and daughter in law were a bit behind due to traffic but were instructed that the entire order had to be placed at once. The orders came out haphazardly. I found the martinis meager but the blueberry martini was really good. The pork belly, the sirloin and the mussels were good. The fettuccine was like a soup- an expensive soup. I have no desire to return.

We had dinner here on the recommendation of our innkeeper. The food was good. The service was horrid.
We did not have a reservation, but we hoped we could luck out with a bar seat. When we popped in, the hostess actually said it was our lucky day and that she’d have a table ready for us in about 20 minutes. We sat around 6:10. We had a cocktail and an appetizer, then the waitress brought our main. The food was great. We were about 15 minutes into our main when the waitress came over and started clearing our plates away! This was around 6:45 - so we were barely at the table 35 minutes. She then told us that if we wanted dessert, it would have to be to go - she needed our table cleared by 7.
This was well into a $150 dinner (and we wanted to stay for another round of drinks and dessert, so probably closer to $200) and we were literally pushed out the door in less than an hour.
Had we been told that we had to gobble our food down and then have our plates cleared before we were even done eating, we would have kept walking and gone to any one of the other restaurants in town.

What a brilliant idea to leverage unused hostel rooms during COVID and make them into private dining rooms!
No wonder reservations here are hot commodities... dining here was a great overall experience. The cocktails were bomb! The “Deadbeet” made with beet juice, habanero and tequila was so good I had to get it twice (and I’m a lightweight).
The food ingredients are fresh and portions are huge. And it’s a vibe... even in your own private dining room you can feel the vibe. I will return.

Came here for an early (5:15p) dinner, as the reservations were hard to come by and I had my 5 year old with me. Make sure you use the Resy system, as tables pop up here and there (that's how I got my table).
Atmosphere is awesome in this place. It's like eating over someone's house, but still spacious enough where you feel the privacy you may want. They also offer entirely private rooms for a minimal charge per person ($15 I believe).
Service was great and the menu was great as well. Nice selection of foods prepared by the chef. I've eaten at plenty of tapas places so I'm into that whole vibe. These guys do a good job of it. Instead of tapas though, it's more like main entrees. Cool twist.
Totally impressed by their wine selection as they have barely any of the common stuff you'd find. Off the beaten path wines and I loved both.
Prices are a bit steep, but you're on vacation, go all out!. I would highly recommend and will visit again when in the area.

My husband and I shared a bowl of the Hand-Rolled Fetuccine Meat Bolognese. The bolognese sauce was by far the best we've ever had! The fetuccine was so soft it practically melted in you mouth. We told the waitress and hopefully she passed it on to the chef.

We love this family-style restaurant where we can order numerous items off the menu and share with everyone at our table. Our family ate in our own cozy room and got to enjoy a relaxing meal at our own pace. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back the next time we stay at the Inn at Water's Edge to enjoy more time in Vermont.

A very nice restaurant. Great drinks. Try the salad and smashed potatoes - enough for two. But what I really want you to know is that the restaurant scene in Ludlow is ugly! We are here for foliage but I imagine the ski season is worse. One must make reservations far in advance. We are here two nights and in spite of starting reservations early, we could only get a reservation for one of those nights. Fortunately, the second night has a nice pizza from American Pie in its future.

Thank you to Jessica and the Homestyle Hotel for a truly special group birthday dinner in private room #5! The food and drinks were exceptional - and so unique! We all commented on this being one of the best meals we have had in a long time - and that’s coming from some foodies who frequent Boston restaurants! Jessica was wonderful and her service and recommendations put the dining experience over the top! We cannot wait for another girls trip so we can come back to see you! Keep up the amazing work! 🙏🍷🎉🎂

We were looking for a nice place to eat and someone we talked to suggested it. We were very pleased. We did not have reservations but they were able to set us at a family style table so if another coupe came we would share table. No one showed up so was just us. Service was great and food was very good. I usually don't complain about most places to eat and have accepted that most are really just average. But this place has some really good quality food, fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. This is very good place and highly recommend it.

Really nice place. They have outdoor sitting which was great. I loved the idea of being able to share the plates with the family. I didn’t love all the dishes but most were very good. Service was excellent, but we did end up spending more time there than I had planned.
