Food was OK - reasonable size serve and tasty enough if a bit greasy. We may have just struck a bad day as the place had a nice feel to it and was fairly busy

My last review was a little hard on the staff. My last visit was with a few clients that wanted to visit the bookstore and I offered to meet them there for a coffee. I was pleasantly happy with my visit. The place was clean, the staff was very nice, and the coffee was exactly what we all ordered. Give... More

If there were a Cracker Barrel you'd think you were back 100 years! Cafe is above the (best -rated) bookstore in all of New England. Order downstairs and the servers bring your tray up to you. Long refectory-like tables abound so it is a great spot to spread out papers and discuss things. The Spiral Press Cafe has become THE... More

We have eaten here a few times for snacks while visiting one of my favorite independent bookstores. This was the first time for breakfast before heading home. Great coffee, the morning glory muffin was delicious and made a great leftover snack a few hours into the drive.

It only takes 3 or 4 people in line and the service at this place comes to a screetching halt. While I love the upstairs eating area, the service is possibly the worst in town - and it's been this way for years. It's a pet-peeve of mine when places want to charge upscale prices, yet they short staff the... More

They are the local coffee hangout, with amazing cookies, breakfast, and lunch. I am a coffee snob, so skip Starbucks and get your latte here. There coffee is always amazing. Free wifi and a huge room you can sit and eat or have a meeting in.

Fantastic mug of coffee, good food, and a comfortable place to relax. My favorites are the breakfast panini, "yellow submarine" (curry chicken salad) and a lemon wedge from the bakery department. Yum! A visit to The Spiral Cafe/ Northshire Bookstore is part of my regular weekend routine.

I ate here two times. It is located by a super good bookstore. Both sandwiches I had were good (BLT and a panini). Fast service, seat yourself or take away.

Popped in to the take away section and collected a sandwich for lunch. Large enough for 2 people to share. Very tasty, fast efficient service. Had a coffee and sat outside. An enjoyable half hour being amused watching American drivers trying to negotiate the roundabout!
