We had a disappointing meal. My wife's pasta sauce was really heavy on the rosemary. The waitress called the manager who took 10 minutes to come and then another 10 minutes to replace the meal by which time I had finished eating. My was OK but I can't remember what is was.

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your evening. I assure you we never want a guest to wait if a manager is asked for. We do our best to check on each and every guest as fast as possible. All of our food is cooked to order, so 10 minutes is a fair amount of time. We always... More

This place was absolutely amazing!!! You should definitely make a reservation if you want to eat there. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I went while we were staying in Manchester. The first night we went and didn't have a reservation and they didn't have anything for about 2 hours but the next... More

Jessica, "Amazing" says it all, thanks! I am so happy you made reservations for the 2nd evening and enjoyed yourself. You can't go wrong with an old time favorite like "Mac & Cheese"' but when you add lobster and bacon you are on an entirely new level. I am thrilled you enjoyed Nicole's service, I will be sure to pass... More

Had a wonderful dinner with a family group a couple weeks ago and it was everything we expected. The atmosphere is intimate but relaxing, the service spot on and the food was excellent. Shared some of the venison sausage for a starter and it was seasoned perfectly and had a nice texture. The lobster bisque was excellent as well. I... More

We came here for my husbands 65th birthday. I called and made reservations requesting a nice table. The host was excellent. Wished my husband a happy birthday and let us choose our table. The tap room is lovely but since the night was warm, we thought the fire was a bit too warm and we chose the adjacent room. The... More

We ate at Ye Old Tavern last night. We were greeted by Michael the owner, who is also a terrific host. We were seated at an old quilting table. The atmosphere is just awesome, it was built in 1790. We were pleased that our server was Tiffany(she was our server also in July) She is just amazing. Now about the... More

My husband and I dined at the bar here after previous reservations elsewhere fell through. We absolutely loved the cranberry fritters with maple butter! I had filet mignon and my husband the lobster bacon Mac and cheese, both delicious. We will be back again!

My husband and I had dinner there 2ndays ago. Cooking is average, and it's very expensive and portions are small. Waiter service was good. It's a very old building and has history.

Lisa, It is upsetting to hear that we were unable to 'impress you'. While I am thrilled that you enjoyed the service and the atmosphere, I am disheartened that you found the food to be just good. We take pride in the fact that our prices are very reasonable based on the quality, portion size, and all of the 'extras'... More

The manager of our B&B recommended this restaurant to us for our one night stay in Vermont. We usually use TripAdvisor to pick our restaurants, but decided to go with the owner of this B&B instead. I have to say that the ambience is sensational, a converted home with more charm than you can believe and exceptional service and food.... More

Popped in for a drink last night and having received such a warm welcome we booked dinner for tonight - WOW! The service was second to none as was the food.
