Funky little place hidden on the main road, stopped in on a whim on a cold late afternoon. After being entertained by the owner and encouraged to partake in any number of freshly baked goods we settled on a brioche and lovely salad and then a couple of specialty deserts. All excellent but a bit pricey.

We drove up from Montpelier for lunch amid the splendor of the beautiful fall colors, and we discovered the equally beautiful pastry case at Rainbow Sweets. We sampled several entrees and enjoyed a delicious salad before topping off the meal with the St. Honore. Beautiful and amazing. No sharing. It was a treat to visit with Bill, the friendly and... Admittedly, we had just finished 108 miles of cycling, so maybe the bar was low, but that was some of the best food, beer, and entertainment (the owner's schtick) I've ever had. We felt lucky to get one of the few tables. The menu for dinner was not expansive, but we had more than enough choices (and ordered more than... More

Have been a few times - usually en route from Montpelier to St. J. Bill is always friendly and often times hilarious while describing the food, weather, and anything else that comes to mind. Food is fantastic, everything is extremely fresh and tasty. Best Empanadas in the state.

We stopped for a coffee, and were treated to excellent pastries served up by the very humorous and highly entertaining owner, Bill. He was rightly proud of his sweet and savoury pastries, and with his mocking and self-deprecating non-stop good humour, lightened our day, added to the joy of the wonderful scenery, and made us feel very glad to be... There are two things that make this place a destination: the pastries and the proprietor. The meal and dessert pastries are all excellent, and served with salad and coffee make a great lunch. The proprietor is quite the showman and sells the day's fresh bakes effectively and in an entertaining manner. Just be careful how much you buy. We went... More

We stopped here for the desserts and ended up eating lunch. We all had something different, and the empanadas were the winner. The salads were tasty and of course the desserts were great. Bill is the own/waiter/comedian/pastry consultant and makes the experience great!

We had B'stilla and Spanakopita to go on our way back from St Johnsbury. Glad to find they were open on Sunday. Desserts were amazing too. Greek salad was so good!

Amazing food!! Amazing place!! You almost miss it as you wind you way through a quaint little town on RT 2. The owner greets you with a smile and bit of comedy. I had the B'Stilla, shredded chicken, phyllo dough, saffron, etc and an immediate favorite. It came with a greek salad that was huge, fresh greens, avocado and quite... More

William Tecosky is an artist, self-taught. His version of profiteroles is a masterclass in French baking. B’stilla is a Moroccan specialty. His version is worth stopping for. And he turns out a first-class Greek salad; he is one of the few who understands the proper dressing. Imagine finding an idiosyncratic but totally remarkable bakery-café in a tiny town. The proprietor's... More
