I have been to The Belfrey several times over the years as it is nearby but I have never reviewed it, until now. Mostly I have gone for the Cheers atmosphere but on Friday’s it is for the all you can eat fish fry. Imagine...More

Small , just off Jay Peak ski Resort . Full of locals and visitors. The menu is a huge blackboard on the wall with everything from Trout to steak. The parking lot is always full and sitting at the bar waiting for a table is...More

We frequent The Belfry several times each year when visiting Jay Peak. It is a fun place that is worth a visit but at times disappointing as to the consistency of the food. Some nights good and others not so good. This inconsistency detracts from...More

It’s a bit of a drive from the resort, but not a bad option. There aren’t a lot in the area we found and this was decent. Food was good, but far from exceptional. Prices are decent but on the higher side for some of...More

The Belfry has not changed much in 25 years .... so much the better. Wing Commander slipped in for a comfortable stop made better by Thursday’s fish order, a stand up in your seat classic mushroom blue cheese dip, a nice wine list, blackened whatever...More

Good food and experience. Not much in Jay but this place is good. Dark road to get there. Reasonable prices

Great food. A place you think of when in Vermont. Nice atmosphere good for a dinner or drinks. Has a big back room with long tables

We went on an exceptionally busy evening, so the service was not great. But the atmosphere was extremely cosy and the food was tasty. Great for kids.

Excellent food in a casual, tavern-like environment. The baked haddock was outstanding - we went back again during our stay to have that dish again. Good options for kids as well. Nice bar with great local beer selections. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in...More

We went Sunday night at 4:30pm shortly after they opened. It filled up fairly fast. I started with a spinach salad which was quite good. I had the Baked scallops and baked potato. It came with broccoli. It was cooked perfectly. Don't come here if...More

If you get there before 17:00hrs, yes. However, any later that would be a definite NO!!! It is not a big place but the back room has tables that can be put together. I have seen parties of about 12 people accommodated.
