We always get the same thing, it is what we were told to order when the place was recommended to us, and it never fails to please! Prices r great and everyone has always been happy.

I meant every word when I told our server to pass on to the kitchen, "that steak was worth flying from Canada for". I've had the filet here several times. It's excellent, without fail. This time I had the Guinness marinade new York steak. It was outstanding. My wife usually has the chicken metowee, and swears by it. Great atmosphere,... More

Upon seating requested a table and he said it was reserved. Good start. My wife liked her filet mignon but thought the green beans were not properly prepare and end and string not removed. My French onion soup was excellent and I should have stopped there. The rib eye was nothing but fat and portions burnt. Server Chris, never even... More

Very popular with we locals as the food is good and plentiful, down to earth and not over priced as so many local restaurants do. It's more or less traditional American fare from burgers to Roast Beef and Steaks but fish and vegan entrees are readily available. Serves wine and spirits. Plenty of parking off Rte. 30. About 15 minutes... More

Great meal with reasonable prices. We each had an entree plus we split a dinner size Caesar salad and two beers each for a total of $60! Server was very attentive and friendly. My husband said the BBQ was very tasty. Make sure you try the Switchback, VT brew! Yum! We are local and are always looking for a good... More

Several of us visited The Barn (restaurant section) for dinner. It was a weeknight. We had a reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. There is a reasonable menu, with a regular priced section and a section that offers six to eight dinners for a flat rate of $14 (September 2016). Salad is an added extra for $2.95. We opted... More

What fun to eat in a beautiful barn with views of the countryside. Our server was great. We ordered two chicken dishes, scallops, pasta and a kid's burger. Our salads came with the option of their homemade blue cheese dressing, delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. On our annual overnight in West Pawlett, we will look forward to having dinner... More

Food was great but not expensive, wait staff was prompt and friendly. Dinner rolls were great, my boyfriend had the scallops with fresh vegetables and baked potato and was very impressed. I was about to give up on getting good BBQ brisket in Vermont but it was on special, so I took a chance, and I was also impressed! Will... More

We finally made our first visit to The Barn and we weren't disappointed! We had reservations for the tavern and opted to eat outside since it wasn't too hot. The rolls were SUPER YUMMY just like others described- nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. We had the potato skins as an appetizer which... More
