There's always a line but they keep it moving quickly. If you like old style (non mass produced) burger joints, you'll like Als. Great Burgers, dogs and fries. Get vinegar on your fries!

Great alternative to the usual fast food joints, Al's French Fry's is a must visit destination that will take you back to your parents and grandparents' burger joint! Includes outdoor accessible creamee stand/ice cream scoop windows and a playground out back for the littles. Don't...More

We were traveling to Montreal from Boston with another couple and decided to stop after reading its favorable reviews. Very cute inside and out, like a 50's diner. The food was horrible. The philly cheese steak was a joke. It was served on what looked...More

The restaurant and sign give you the throwback feel of an old diner/burger place which was nice. The burger and chicken sandwich were small. The fries were just okay. Overall, I was rather disappointed with the visit. I expected more based on its ranking.

Small portions and mostly ok food. Cute place but not as good as expected considering reputation. Clam strips were good but my companions did not enjoy the haddock or the burger. I was told not enough meat in the burger to know if tasted good...More

The diner has a fun old fashioned decor. You order at a cash register and then wait in line for your food. We came for an early diner at 5:30pm and did not have to wait. Based on the reviews we were expecting amazing food....More

This place was supposed to be #1 out of 64 restaurants in the Burlington, VT area. I read that you stood in line to order and to pick up your food. I picked this place because it was #1. I figured the food must be...More

Had dinner with friends on Sunday and found a long line upon entering. The line moved very quickly and we soon had our burgers & fries. The burgers were average but we all loved the fries.
