Overall, the experience was lacking for the expectation. The ingredients and techniques are meant to impress, but the actual food was not up to the goal. We could start with the tap water. I live in VT full time and have well water, but there was...More

This is the best restaurant in a 30 mile radius. The owners/chef have created a unique dining experience in the middle of nowhere. Truly farm to table, they grow many of their ingredients, esp the tomatoes used in their brilliant tomato salad as well as...More

Beautiful venue, albeit slightly on the rustic side, but this is a small town in Vermont so it works. Service was excellent and the food was as well with one exception. We had the dry-aged bone-in rib-eye. This entree alone was $150. It was delicious,...More

The food, the service, and the ambience are great in this place. They tend to a wood-burning fireplace just off the bar where my husband and I sat. The bar is quite small but lovely, and it accommodates about nine people. The bartender is an...More

From the food to the service to the wine selection, and the lovely decor, this is a special restaurant. The chef is Spanish and offers some tapas reminiscent of Barcelona and Madrid (the only Spanish cities I've yet visited) but also features farm-to-table (the menu...More

Although there has been an elevated level of dining options in the area in recent years, Solo remain at the top of the pecking order, so make sure you make reservations, especially during peak holiday weekends. We dined on perhaps the busiest weekend of the...More

We hosted family from Florida for a delicious farm to table dinner in rural Vermont. We made reservations 2 weeks early, to get optimal time. This is a quaint old Vermont home, in a lovely but rundown corner of southern Vermont. Cindy was a great...More

Might depend on the age of your children. But I suggest you email or call the restaurant. It is owned and operated by a husband and wife couple with children of their own and who are very friendly and approachable.
