There were so many great places to eat in Stowe, Vermont, but after having the sandwiches and soup at Cafe on Main, we were hooked. We never wanted to waste a lunch break for any other place. The sandwiches, especially the BLT, were unbelievable. The soup is in an extra large bowl, and was perfection. The staff are kind, and... More

We stopped by for a quick breakfast that ended taking an hour. We asked for over easy eggs and both were close to over hard. Then we waited over 20 minutes to get them made again. Someone told me that they are expanding into a new space which is bigger. This will help, as this place can only hold about... More

My husband and I wanted a good breakfast instead of hotel breakfast. We walked over to Cafe on Main and we were not disappointed in their food. I had an omelet and my husband had the breakfast special, and of course, we left with hot muffins and cookies for the road!! Great breakfast place and the staff was very friendly!!

Cafe on Main serves classic homemade meals - the kind you remember from when you were a kid. Classic tuna salad and homemade chicken noodle soup are some of the standouts here and our visit to the area is not complete with out one or both of these. Worth the wait. The cafe itself is small and you can easily... More

We were disappointed in the breakfast at the Green Mountain Inn so with a number of other guests voted with our feet. There aren't a lot of eating options in Stowe and every place gets mixed reviews. My spouse had a breakfast sandwich and I had oatmeal which had a ton of walnuts on it and no milk offered. The... More

Place your order at the counter, pay, and it is delivered to your table. Not a lot of seating inside, so if you are at a table that seats six, expect to sit with strangers. The #2 turkey sandwich with cranberries was good and the cream of broccoli and spinach soup was excellent. A short wait, good for quick eats.

Stopped in to pick up a couple sandwiches to go. Curried chicken salad was very tasty made with great crunchy veggies. Roast beef sandwich with horseradish and red onions got the thumbs up from my husband. Fountain sofas and chips/fruit available as well.

Loved my BLT, so much bacon it was falling out. Servers were extremely pleasant. The only thing is they could use some more seating.

The book store next door was our first stop after unloading from a bus, and the aromas from the Café were delightful. We walked through town and actually came back for a sandwich...like I said the aromas were amazing...the line was long, but they got everyone through very quickly. I had never tried a Rueben...someone said the meat is salty...but... More
