Walking around Stowe on a warm day we came upon Depot Street Malt Shop. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with chocolate chip ice cream. It arrived shortly with lots of hot fudge & ice cream. Very yummy. My husband ordered a chocolate malt (which they have as a frappe on the menu) and he thought it was OK. The... More

Cheezy is the first thing that comes in to your mind when you enter and they deliver every bit of it. This is a place to take your grand kids for a meal that is a 50's experience. Ok, I'm not even that old, but my parents lived in that era. Good comfort food. Look for the diner fare of... More

It was fun to return to and see that the Depot Street Malt Shop had not changed much since we first visited it on our last visit to Stowe back in 2012. If anything, the interior seemed cheerier and more sparkly. To also then have quicker friendlier service than a few years ago was a nice surprise. The ice cream... More

Great for old- fashion sodas, frappes, lime-Ricky. Went for lunch and ate outside. Food was average, but good. My husband got the turkey club and they toasted the bread, which became very dry and hard to eat.

This was a good spot for us to have lunch. The ice cream and malts looked good. I had a vegetarian sandwich and my wife had a salad. Both were good. Service was prompt. The vive is very retro from the 50s early 60s with fun colors etc. The onion rings were very good as were the fries. Outdoor seating... More

The different Flavors of ice cream made it hard to choose just one. My husband and I tried each other's orders. Delicious! Huge scoops made it even better. Price was very reasonable. Staff very helpful. They have an ATM as it is cash only. There is a sign up so you shouldn't be surprised. Great place to visit while walking... More

Took a group of kids here after a long day on the lacrosse fields. Some were hungry for food, some for frappes and others for both. Nice menu hearkens back to the malt shops of the 50's. Note that this restaurant is cash only, no debit or credit. Lots to choose from on the menu and we all enjoyed our... More

Excellent food. We are both vegetarian and there were plenty of choices. The price was very affordable. The entire experience was very positive!

Quick service. Food prepared quickly. Retro decor is fun. 50's diner. Warning: cash only. There is an ATM in the restaurant, just in case. Ice cream cones are huge. They offered to go drinks. Air conditioner not sufficient for the size of the restaurant. Was warm sitting there.
