Love this place. The food is excellent, service top notch. It's small so make reservations in advance.

my wife and i had dinner here on a recent ski trip to sugarbush. we loved the quaint ambience and the staff was very friendly and warm. everything we had(wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert) was exceptional. we both agreed that it was the best meal we had eaten in the area(and there are several other very good restaurants around) and can't wait... The food is pretty great, but a little bit overpriced. You should definitely try the meatballs, their signature dish. They also serve escargot, but it's not a big deal. Its texture is a little bit chewy, but at least the sauce on the side was very tasty.. You should definitely come on Mondays, when they have a jazz trio, but... More

This hidden gem offers the best dining experience in the Valley. Though the menu is small, the quality and quantity is extraordinary. Reservations are a must so you don't miss out.

While the land was getting a nice sugary foot of snow, I left my hostel in search of a nice meal. Peasant was recommended to me and I gave it a try. From the moment I entered, I felt that these people were serious about food. With three of four other tables braving out the storm, I sat at the... More

Enjoyed our dinner here. Went with my two girlfriends and all of our meals were terrific Make reservations,...place is small and quaint. During Summer and fall there is an out door patio area which is lovely to sit out on and have a cocktail while you wait or just want to relax. Will return for sure.

Dined with my fiance and four other friends on a cold October night. Peasant was warm and welcoming with garlic in the air. We were seated quickly (had reservations, luckily, as it filled up) and enjoyed a round of cocktails to start. We passed some apps around the table and the general consensus was the meatballs were hands down the... More

Peasant is my absolute favorite restaurant in Vermont. The food is phenomenal and you can't beat the cozy atmosphere. Every dish is fantastic but the the salmon and bolognese are out of this world! The staff is attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend for families, friends or a nice night out!

After reading the rave reviews we expected more than what we had. The tomato bean soup was bland and did not have escarole but rather, bok choy. The house salad which was dark lettuce, was wilted and had little dressing. The beet salad was flat and the beets bitter. The majority of our meals were muted - the polenta was... More
