Good food, great beer, and friendly people! Very timely even with a dinner rush. If you love good food, and better beer make a stop by!

A friend recommended Prohibition Pig after a visit a week ago. "Food- good, but try the Duck Fat Fries." We did. I agree. My daughter and I were in the area and stopped for dinner. My friend's warning was that the place was always crowded. Also true. It was Tuesday night. We sat at a bar table. My daughter is... More

Read lots of positive reviews so had high expectations but this place just nailed it. Great place to stop before a visit to Ben and Jerrys. Pleasant setting, quality food, some great local Vermont brews too with attentive service. Would recommend getting there a little early to secure a spot as it gets crowded. The spirit of the kind of... More

Got there just after noon on Saturday and were told 45-60 minutes. We were ok with that as there was a huge arts festival going on across the street. Got back to the restaurant about 40 minutes later and were the next party seated (about 5-10 minutes). Loved the vibe, menu looked great, we found things to order quite easily... More

Prohibition Pig is a MUST visit if you are in or near Waterbury! Their reputation expands all over the state, and with good reason. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the food is NUMBER ONE for BBQ in the state! Great selection at the bar - I only wish I had time to try more there. Chelsea was also... More

Passing through on my home to Boston from Quebec I stopped off here to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Though it was very busy (July 4) service was fast. I sat at the bar ordered an IPA and then food. Good came out in less than 30 minutes. I ordered the Cubano. Small portion but man was... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Ben and Jerry's Factory based on trip advisor reviews. Food was great! My son is lactose intolerant but loves cheese (go figure). Their sandwiches are made with local Cabot cheese which is lactose free. Without me even asking, they also swapped out the butter to cook the sandwich so my... More

Black beans were dry and flavorless as was the rice and the dismal achiote chicken -barely enough for 4 small bites- was also underwhelming, all for $12 that may cost $2-4 in actual cost. The quesadilla was bland, dry, and equally overpriced. Good beer but skip the food and save the money!
