If you're looking for a good meal in a comfortable setting at a reasonable price, look no further. I ordered swordfish that was delicious .My wife ordered a mixed green salad with a piece of salmon. She loved it! The waitress was friendly and always...nearby if we needed anything. We'll definitely go there again when we're in Wilmington Vermont.More

Walked in on a Tuesday around 445. One table occupied. Was asked if we had a reservation! We said no. We were told they were booked for the entire evening. REALLY? AN EMPTY RESTAURANT AT 445 AND NO ONE IN SIGHT? We politely said ok...and left.More

The Anchor is a wonderful restaurant that we have frequented many times, sometimes with large groups and other times as a couple. They are always friendly and make every evening a great one. The food is creative and delicious. We are so glad to see...them reopen.More

Food was good. We had a chicken pesto special and broiled scallops. Portions were perfect. Expected to wait a long time for a table but got seated immediately on a Saturday night. Would to again the next time visiting the area.

We wrote a wonderful review the first time we came here and have been back a few times since but our last visit was not great. We arrived early and were happy to be seated next to the fireplace. It was not on so we...asked it to be turned on since it was cool in the room. We were told by our waiter that they don't like to turn it on since it gets too warm. We had been there in November and it had been on, he said he would ask. He came back and didn't mention the response so we asked again, he mumbled something about it not working right. Our rolls and salad were good but bigger plates are neeed for the salad it is not really large but still spills over. Dinner was just ok, crab cakes very small and the squash was barely room temperature. We will give it a while if we try it again.More

Came here to VT for first time. The good was this restaurant has history of being maple syrup factory and is nice atmosphere. The food was mediocre and waitress was not friendly and seemed to just be going through the motions. Was hoping for a...great meal to highlight the trip but came away disappointed. Sangria was perfection.More

Came for lunch and we were seated quickly. Server was great. The clam chowder was delicious, but I was disappointed with the small amount of lobster on my lobster roll - the lobster was placed at the very top of the roll opening to look...like it was filled, but you soon realized the roll wasn't filled. It was all roll and little lobster, which caused the roll to overpower the flavor of the lobster. I ended up removing the bottom portion of the roll that wasn't filled just so I could enjoy some lobster flavor. Would not order that here again, and can't recommend it.More

My husband and I recently ate dinner here while staying nearby. It was a chilly, rainy night and when we went inside the restaurant was full and very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We had only a short wait for a table of less than 10...minutes. We ordered the sea scallops and the broiled seafood sampler. The seafood was delicious! Both came with a green salad with 3 dressing options as well as mixed veg. Our one complaint was we chose the pasta for our sides. My husband got the garlic and oil which was good, but quite strong. I enjoy a lot of garlic, but be aware if you do not. I tried the marinara which was just spooned on top and not even mixed into the pasta so half my pasta was dry. The mashed potatoes would have been a better option for both of us. Otherwise it was an enjoyable dinner with a lovely atmosphere.More
