This is a great soup place. I have eaten the Chicken Tortilla Soup which is excellent. The bread that comes with it is great. I have also eaten the crab and corn soup which is excellent. I like the BLT sandwich. Inexpensive and great food. I would highly recommend.

The restaurant was packed, and for good reason. The crowd, however, didn't mean that service was slow -- indeed, it was very quick.

My wife and I were looking for a good and quick lunch in The Corner area of Charlottesville. We read good reviews of Revolutionary Soup and gave it a try. We both ordered the corn and crab chowder and a sandwich. The chowder was excellent and my turkey blt was very good. We will return again.

I ate here twice while in Charlottesville. The first time I had the Chicken Tortilla soup. It was great. It had just enough spice for flavor but not so hot where I couldn't enjoy it. The second time I enjoyed the Corn and Crab soup. It really hit the spot. It was the perfect lunch for a fall Saturday. I've... More

This used to be a great place for soup and sandwiches, but the last 2 times we ate there, the soups were watery and tasteless. The dining area was not clean, the chair bottoms were torn, the tables full of forgotten dishes and glasses and overall it looked like a worn-out old restaurant. Very disappointing.

Have dined here twice while hanging out at the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. Several vegetarian and gluten free choices. I have had soup, salad, and great conversation with the guy who took my order! Only down side is they are closed on Sundays!

On one of our last days in Charlottesville, we were not super hungry but needed dinner. I saw Revolutionary Soup, and thought that would hit the spot. The day we were there there was only one other table to people there. You order your soup, and they put it on the counter, and call the order out. All the soups... More

My wife and I dined at this neat luncheon restaurant recently while visiting the area. She had the potatoe soup and enjoyed it and I had the spicey enchilada chicken which was good but not overly spicey-so like 3 on a scale of 20. We also shared a yummy grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I can recommend this nice restaurant... More

I had the special: heirloom tomato sandwich with Duke's mayo on sourdough bread, salt and pepper. Talk about delicious for a basic sandwich. They know what they are doing in there, line out the door and the aroma's of their multitude of soups was amazing.

I went here because of the good reviews. The food was average. The building was run down and dirty. The ice machine was broken. The prices were on the high side. I see no reason to return.
