A little hard to find, but worth the effort. Wide choice of very flavorful comfort type stuff for lunch. Not elegant, but expect a crowd. Turkey Dip is crazy good!

Delicious, delectable straightforward good cooking. I don't care that it's nearly a dump, the countertop is clean and the food is dependably good. They close early so pay attention.

Off the beaten path, this is a funky little place popular with University of Virginia students. It's a bit like eating in your garage, but the food is good and the people behind the counter are great! The name pretty much explains the menu. I had the biscuit with egg and cheese and sausage. It was good - but I... More

Highest possible recommendation. We were driving north to Philadelphia from Winston-Salem, and a UVA alum told us if we only had one stop in us Ace was the place. We arrived at roughly 1:30pm, and it is certainly a legit, not visually impressive BBQ spot. Their hours and days can be somewhat irregular, so make a phone call before you... More

Arrived mid-day during the week We were worried about parking because its a little limited but there was a space right in front. We were greeted quickly and exuberantly and referred to the large menu board. The guy at the register (long dark hair) was very friendly and guided us through the menu and answered any questions. He was very... More

Finally checked out Ace Biscuit and am glad we did! We ordered chicken and waffles and "Ace Dip" and sat at the counter right in front. While we were waiting for our food, I mentioned to my husband that I should have ordered a side of Mac and Cheese. When our food arrived sure enough there was a "taste" of... More

Very small place that is not too easy to find. Almost missed it when I drove by. You can smell the eclectic aromas as you begin to walk in and it keeps getting better. Not a lot of room to eat inside. Staff very friendly and helpful in selecting your dining choices if you need it. We had a group... More

This is a no frills kind of place. You order at the counter and find yourself a seat. The biscuits were perfection. We did build your own breakfast biscuit sandwiches and they were delicious. The hash browns were also great. The pimento cheese was amazing.

Got the pulled pork sandwich and St. Louis style ribs. The ribs are worth it. Nicely seasoned and full of juices. The sauces I was not a big fan of it but they were a little watery. Sweet tea was good and the place is small but cool.

Ever been to a place where you would eat the food if you found out they had a rat problem? This is that kind of place. Grab yourself the Ol' Dirty Biscuit and make no apologies
