Fantastic thin crispy crust, tasty sauce and gooey cheese. Even though we're out of towners this has become a regular stop when we're in town. Service is terrific as well!

This pizza is just really good all around. Great crust, hand tossed, fresh mozzarella, fresh made sauce with the right level of herbs in the sauce, good sauce to cheese ratio. It's not fancy, it's not trying to be gourmet. It's just honest pizza. Oh and it's pretty cheap too.

Real Italian . We had a fantastic meatball topped pizza. I never knew that a pizza could have so much flavor. Leftovers heated well in the toaster oven.

What a great place! As soon as you come in you feel like you are in an old, traditional Italian restaurant. It's not fancy, but a big, old fashioned, homey place. There are family pictures on the wall, and you get a feeling of stepping back in time. Fun to hear the staff actually speaking Italian. We ordered pizza. It... More

Founded by the current owner's grandfather, Anna's has been in the same location for forty years. When he came to Charlottesville, he brought the recipes and sensibility of Brooklyn with him. The pizza is very good. But the pasta! One is at a loss as to how to extol it. The marinara sauce Is rich, complex, delicious. The linguine is... More

We had pizza and a pasta dish. Both were very good. Good service in a casual atmosphere at a good price. Highly recommend it.

Was looking for some pizza and had not planned to stop at Anna's. However the place I had heard about had zero parking so I went up the road and I'm glad I did. I had all intentions of pizza and then saw they had a Stromboli. Hadn't had one of those in years and I'm glad it was their... More

If you've ever been to a traditional, local, NY style pizza shop in the five Burroughs then you will know exactly what you are getting at Anna's. Decor is dated but that isn't the selling point. The atmosphere is charming and above all else authentic. This is no frills NY style pizza, almost always done right. Other entrees are good... More

OK, I've reviewed Anna's before but it's time to check in again. YEP, pretty much the same. Anna's is decent food and priced well for what it is. Their major claim to fame is the size of the dining room. They haven't redecorated it .....ever; but it is large! You may not be able to find a parking space but... More

I love this place, love the Italian family who runs it -- their pizza is classic NY style and their menu sticks to the classics and is all delicious because it's Grandma's recipes she's been cooking for decades. Not great atmosphere, but very reasonably priced and the food makes up for the lack of a "scene."
