A solid Mexican restaurant. Typical Mexican menu but always good with friendly service. Tucked away in a detached strip from Greenbrier and just out-of-the-way enough to make sure there is never a wait.

El Loro is a very good Mexican place. They have a typical lunch menu, but the portions are large. They make fresh guacamole at the table. Service is prompt, prices are reasonable.

Have eaten here many times over the years. Better by far than most Mexican restaurants in the area. Try their chicken soup, too, and the table side prepared guacamole.

Typical cheap Mexican food. But tastes great! Sometimes the Mexican food places have a 'wang' to the food but El Loro is great!

First of all, get the cheese sauce. It's amazing!! I had chicken and rice and my husband had the enchiladas supreme. We were both very satisfied. The chicken was seasoned well and cut into strips. His cheese enchilada was top notch! We will definitely be back.

Made fresh - everone ordering it. Two types of sauce (white and red) with your chips. Service was almost "too" attentive. Nice, standard atmosphere and food. This is my BFF and mine 'go to' place in Chesapeake.

We stopped here on a Friday evening b/c of reviews. It was an extremely busy place and they handled the business very well. No waiting. Our food was good if not very good. (Although there was a chicken bone in my husbands taco meal. The waitress just shrugged her shoulders.) However our cola drinks were terrible! Our server was slow... More

I recently ordered out lunch for my employees. There were 5 of us, and most everyone ordered off the lunch menu. I cannot vouch for any one elses food, but I will review mine. I ordered Tacos Al Pastor. This is a citrus marinated grilled pork taco. It is simple, and can be outrageously good. Theirs was not. The best... More

If you visit Chesapeake and dont intend to spend much money with good food then go to. You should order a guacamole handmade! best I've tried.

This non-chain restaurant has grown and stayed in business for 20 years for a reason. It is very popular with the locals and is a welcome find for traveler's who venture a short drive off I-64. The food are drinks are great. Our favorites are the fresh table side prepared guacamole, Texas Fajitas, Enchiladas San Miguel, Fish Tacos, Shrimp/Fish Taco... More
