The service is very good and quick, but the food is not impresive. But again it all depends in what do you like. For me personally, I will not come back. Not my style of restaurant.

I want to give it a 5 but...we went on a Sunday night, group of 7, the food was amazing as always - but....the service was really rushed...and we were there at 6pm (with a reservation). Our waitress was very distracted and it took several attempts to order drinks, etc...and then she cleared the plates very quickly, spilling items. Now,... More

Despite how crazy busy this restaurant is, the service is always wonderful. The Peking duck is better here than anywhere else in the US. The specialty dishes are exceptional, highly recommend the fried shrimp and crispy beef. The garlic sprouts are delicious. Other vegetable dishes are excellent too, e.g., baby bok choy with mushrooms. Hot and sour soup is decent... More

Good service and nice atmosphere. Too pricey. Food was only so so. Reportedly, George Bush Sr loved eating here. Maybe he did... they say Texans eat their steaks burnt to char. I expect this cuisine would be a step up from that.

Well known in the local and political scene. The photos lining the walls are testament to its gloried past. Somewhat shabby but staff very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was rather bland. We enjoyed Ginger Shrimp on asparagus. Shrimp imperial with broccoli and snow peas and another shrimp offering that was fried and somewhat crunchy. All was served with steamed... More

There is Chinese food and there is Peking Gourmet Inn. We stumbled upon it and two people highly recommended it. The food was extremely good. The portions are generous plus they include metal chopsticks perfectly balanced. Some of the patrons ordered the Peking Duck which is their specialty. Next time I am getting that. I had the calamari and it... More

We always enjoy going to Peking Gourmet Inn. The shabby/worn decor is really part of the charm. Plus seeing the old photos of politicians and others is always fun. The food however is not the best Chinese food in the area. Our most recent meal was surprisingly bland. We will go back just because we like going there, not because... More

We had reservation on a Saturday night around 5:30pm. Place was packed. Lines were out the door. Probably due to the famous people who ate there before. Their pictures are on the wall. Ordered Group B dinner plus their famous Peking duck. Waited long time before food come. Asked three times for condiments for soup. The Peking duck skin was... More

We arrived with a party of nine on a last minute decision. They juggled their plans and accommodated us masterfully. Don't miss the Peking Duck! It was joined by five other dishes all of which were outstanding. Staff was unfailingly polite and attentive.

We had our rehearsal dinner (25 people) here and were quite happy. Have always had great food so was pleased to find out they had private rooms for large groups, we picked the mid-range family meal and everyone had plenty of variety and food. Service was wonderful, the table-side duck carving is always a treat. Plenty of room and table... More
