First, their made to order sandwiches and wraps are the best in Floyd. Tons of possible combinations, you choose among about 10 fresh made bread choices. Then about the same quantity of cheeses to choose from, then like a page of condiment/veg to choose from. And your sandwich basically can be made sm, med, or large. If unsure ask for... More

The Bread Basket is a wonderful, charming cottage with fresh baked rolls and pastries plus a myriad of other goodies...lunch meats and many special home made it jams, condiments, candles, candies and gift items. A fun experience.

This place is wonderful! They offer wonderful tasting baked goods, meats, candy, jellies, ointments, etc. Just wished I had bought more sourdough bread (which they will slice for you) & apple cake to freeze for later.

I like this place and any place like it. This is Mennonite run and owned and like the store in Powhatan, their baked goods are always a treat as well as their deli. They are very kind and sweet and Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked bread!

Yes the smells are truely devine and the taste will leave you wanting to take more and more items home. The variety is second to none. Cakes, pies, cookies, meats, cheeses, fresh eggs, spices, chips oh and did I mention the fresh baked bread.... so many items to mention you'll come back for more every time you pass by.

Typical store of bulk goods and breads, baked sweet items. but they make fresh sandwiches. We got ours to go for our Blue Ridge Parkway picnic. This is a Mennonite run business. Very friendly staff and owners. Met the grandchildren while shopping. Sandwiches were made perfectly to order. Very fresh bread. Delicious. This is a must stop whenever we are... More

We decided to try their sandwiches as a treat for our trip home and were pleasantly surprised to find any meats, breads and fixings available - the real made to order meal. We also purchased healthy options of chips, nuts and such in the adjacent store. I was tempted to buy some of the bakery treats as they looked good,... More

We got sandwiches to take for our trip home and they were delicious, made to order. The store also sold items in bulk, like nuts, grains, candy (old fashioned types too) and the homemade cakes and pies looked very tempting, but we'll try some of those on our next visit.

The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! Anytime I make a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway I stop here whether I'm with family or my husband. I normally get the turkey sandwich on their sourdough bread, which is to die for. All of their products are fresh from the cheese to the vegetables they put on the sandwich. And the great... More
