A very quiet and comfortable atmosphere, the food is excellent and the service only a little slow but expected for this type of restaurant. Well presented but more flavourful than you would expect for a small "country" location. Good food server well, presentation is good.

We were touring the Front Royal area during lunch so we ended up coming here, since it was highly rated on Yelp. We arrived here on the Memorial Day Saturday for lunch. The restaurant is located in a small rather shabby house along the main Royal Ave. We drove by the place and turned around to park in the rear... More

We had a lovely meal here after driving through Shenandoah National Park. Salmon and quail were our main courses both cooked very well. I'd recommend this restaurant.

The owner of the B&B we stayed in recommended Element, and I can see why! The food was delicious and moderately-priced, the interior was cozy, and the service was friendly. We both ordered the chicken and it was moist and juicy, and the wine recommendation was also outstanding. We enjoyed our meal immensely! The only downside was the scary bathroom... More

This is the perfect place to stop for lunch when taking visitors to Luray Caverns or a visit to Shenandoah National Park. Excellent sandwiches on house-made rolls and wonderful curried chicken salad. Good tomato dill and crab soup as well. But the stand-out was the desserts: They have an option for $12 where you can get three of the desserts... More

I've only eaten here once, but am looking forward to returning. We used Front Royal as a mid-point between the DC metro area and a state park in WVA. We loved the old J's Gourmet, so wanted to try its successor. This is a cozy restaurant, with a small bar in the back. They also have a retail wine section,... More

My family and I were on vacation in Front Royal Va. We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday nite at Element Restaurant in Front Royal. Food was excellent. Service as well. Definitely would recommend this wonderful restaurant. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Sunday brunch at Element. The choices were all wonderful. The brunch started off with a very generous... Not many menu choices. I probably won't go back because of the very tight seating. Uncomfortable. The sandwich and soup were very good

Have eaten here a number of times - whenever in the area. Consistently good lunches. Upstairs is Apartment 2g which serves great dinners. Family owned and run. No chain food available :)

The endless creativity of Chef-Owners David and Stacy Gedney has produced an excellent bistro alternative to the commitment of fine dining restaurants and to the ennui of the countless chain restaurants. Element offers a variety of sapid dishes for lunch and dinner in a relaxed and modern atmosphere, augmented by a full bar, beers on draft and an elegant wine list. We adjust the menu regularly to keep our ingredients fresh and our choices interesting.
